ANOTHER DAY
In the morning, Scarlett woke up from the sun's rays hitting her eyes. She shielded her eyes with her palm from the sun and sat down. She noticed that Skylar was not there.
“She's probably having breakfast” ;-she thought.
Scarlett got completely out of bed and stretched, crunching almost all of her bones in her body. She yawned and put on a bra, hoodie and jeans. Shoeing her sneakers, she went to the kitchen, but John was waiting for her there. He sat with his back to Scarlett and, sensing her presence, he looked around.
-Good morning, Scarlett. ;-he said with a smile.
-Good. ;-she answered.
He got up from the table and walked over to another table where breakfast was being made.
-Would you like tea, or coffee? ;-Scarlett's adoptive father asked caringly.
-Tea.
-Add lemon? Sugar one tablespoon?
-No, don't add lemon, please, but add sugar one tablespoon.
He made her tea while making pancakes in parallel. He made himself just coffee. He sat down opposite Scarlett and began a conversation:
-I would like to get to know you better. You can ask me anything, I am open to you and my children.
-What is the motive for your orders to your children? Why are you making them kill the parents of young children?
He froze for a moment, but then calmly replied:
-I want to give a future to such children. Their parents are not parents without caring for their children. The status of a parent must be earned.
He took a sip of coffee and said:
-It's my turn, do you feel comfortable now? Are you afraid of me?
This question made Scarlett think for a few seconds. In the end, she replied:
-Now I know your motives and am not afraid of you. You won't hurt me.
He took another sip of coffee. Even though it was Scarlett's turn to ask the question, he asked:
-Do you like Skylar? Can you call her your sister?
Remembering last night and the overly intimate scenes, Scarlett replied:
-Yes, I liked her. She is pure and sweet, in her eyes I saw tenderness and love, but I still cannot call her my sister.
John took his last sip and set the empty glass down loudly on the table.
John: I've already emptied my glass of coffee. Thanks for the chat, Scarlett. If you have no more questions for me, I will go to my office.
Scarlett: Yes, of course. Nice to have met you.
John nodded and disappeared behind the door behind which was his office.
"At first glance, he is cruel, but it turns out he has his own motive and now he does not seem to me such a monster. He is serious, cold-blooded, but still open..."
With her thoughts, she went to Skylar's room. She looked around the room more dusty and saw a wall with photographs. Coming closer, she saw a photo where Skylar, still a little girl with her mom and dad, were holding hands and sincerely smiling. Skylar held her mother's hand. John stood to the left, holding his wife's hand
Scarlett found a few albums in her nightstands that contained snippets of Skylar's childhood. So Scarlett learned a little more about her half-sister, but it wore her out. She was wearing the clothes she had slept in last night, and all the information in her head just made her fall asleep. She was gaining strength, but the sound of someone opening the door woke her up. She slept sweetly, but the sharp gap between the world of sleep and the real did not immediately move her consciousness. She was still aware that she was awake and the open door to the room brought her back to the real world. Skylar ran into the room, crying for some reason. She was dressed in a skirt, stockings, shoes and a snow-white blouse. She closed the door, probably without thinking, and ran to Scarlett, who was sitting on the bed.
Skylar: I... I... I killed a man... I ran into the house where the mother drank and smoked, and the child was in the same room as the mother. I wanted to take the child and hand him over to a house for people like him, but his mother noticed me and... And... She hurt herself on my knife... Her body was weak and therefore I did not have time to provide her with medical care and she died almost instantly... I brought the child to the house where they will take care of him, but I feel bad...
Scarlett: Shhh... Skylar... It's okay... Don't blame yourself...
Skylar was already lying on her side, her head resting on Scarlett's lap, and she stroked her head, listening to her and soothing.
After about two minutes, Skylar sat down opposite Scarlett, close enough. She looked down and after a while said:
-Scarlett, I love you...
She took Scarlett's neck with her right hand and began to approach her lips with her eyes closed.
Scarlett jerked back and asked nervously:
-What are you doing, Skylar? I have already reassured you... Why?
-So it becomes easier for me and I forget about everything. Is it unpleasant for you? ;-Skylar asked with a grain of frustration.
-No... It's just that we're sisters and we shouldn't kiss...
-Can I try with the tongue? It will relax me.
Scarlett nodded silently, and Skylar took her neck with her other hand. She moved her lips to her face, but ended at the neck and began to kiss her slowly and gently. Scarlett started moaning, which only stimulated Skylar. She again approached her sister's lips and said: "I will try as gently as possible..." concluded Scarlett in an affectionate kiss. She tried to caress Scarlett with her tongue, after which she began to moan. Scarlett's hands rested on her own thighs and they began to grab long nails into her pants. After a couple of tens of seconds, they came off with their tongues and breathed down.
Skylar: Thank you, Scarlett. You healed me. ;-after she kissed her sister on the cheek.
Scarlett was still breathing hard and trying to sort her thoughts. Is she doing the right thing? It's not right, they are sisters. Even though she liked this closeness and intimacy, everything should have a frame. Although, maybe this is love? When one person pleases another, heals him and turns all pain into pure love. So many questions, but so few answers...
Skylar stood up and opened the door. Her father appeared in front of her and invited her to dinner. It was light, a cup of kefir and a bun with jam. All the time that everyone was sitting at the table, Scarlett couldn't look Skylar in the eyes. Was she shy, or was she afraid of new feelings? She was trying to find it out in her stream of thoughts.
John: Thanks for the company, I have to go to the office. Good night, daughters. ;-he smiled sincerely and disappeared behind the door.
The sisters went into the room, but couldn't start a conversation due to embarrassment or shame.
Skylar changed into a nightie when Scarlett was already falling asleep in bed. Skylar lay next to her sister and closed her eyelids.
-Good night, Scarlett. ;-the loving sister said with tenderness in her voice...
“She's probably having breakfast” ;-she thought.
