It's Game On, Partner!
"T-This can't be happening! You're no mage!" Jeffrey Scott shouted in anger and disbelief. "Oh you're going to witness exactly what I am. Right, now." Michael said in a calm voice. "What has he done?" Dawn thought to herself. "Everything will be taken care of, don't worry." He said looking at her. "Then I'll have to take you down once and for all!!" The mature man said as he removed his ring and prepared a blast of great power. "SEE IF YOU CAN DEFEND THIS!" He shouted unleashing it head on to Michael. "You have to do better than that." The red haired teenager said waving his arm at it just as if he tossed the blast away. A wave of fire followed his movement and overwhelmed the blast. "Impossible... How can this happen to me...?" Jeffrey said in disbelief. "Great fire of Genesis..." Michael whispered and stretched out his arm. "Destroy everything in your path!" The young magician commanded unleashing a great wave of flames that struck head on the opposing magician leaving him incapacitated to move a few metres away from where he was. A couple of seconds after the fire cleared out, Dawn got up and started running towards Michael, who was breathing heavily in exhaustion. "Oh Pierce-" Dawn interrupted the red haired teenager hugging him tightly. "Why would you do that... Idiot..." She said in a low volume. "What's gotten into you so suddenly you brute?" He asked laughing. "Nothing..." She said pulling away. "Well whatever. I'm just glad everything is being taken care of..." Michael paused for a moment "DAWN PIERCE!!" He shouted a second after. "Oh yeah!" "Yeah that's Pierce!" "How could we forget about Pierce!" "Yeah that short girl that always picks fights!" Everyone on the classroom windows was heard saying. "See? They remember you!" The yellow eyed teenager said smiling. "T-T-T..." She couldn't find the words to speak. "What was that? I can't hear you!!" He said teasing her. "THANK YOU!!" She said shouting angrily "For... saving me..." She continued in a much lower voice. "Don't worry about it shorty!" He said petting her head. "I'M NOT SHORT!" She shouted angrily puffing her cheeks out. "Whatever you say... So what now?" The red haired teenager asked as he turned his look towards the crowd of students that had assembled around them, due to the earlier principal's notice. "I don't know... The school's basically a wreck..." Dawn replied in an unsure tone. "Come on it's just a wall! Well would you look at that!?" He said pointing at the policemen who were arresting Jeffrey Scott. "He got what he deserved." She replied. "Well, why don't we join the rest of the class?" Michael said walking away. "W-Wait..." Dawn said grabbing his blazer. "I-I would like to know if..." The blue eyed girl tried to spell out. "You would like to know if...?" He repeated smirking.. "If..." She continued. "I'm waiting..." The red haired teenager said crossing his arms. "SHUT UP! I would like to know If you would like to form a duo with me..." Dawn finally said looking him in the eye. For an instant he was taking by surprise. "A duo... with her...?" He thought to himself looking right through her beautiful diamond-like eyes. "Why not." Michael said smiling. "But in one condition!" He continued, pointing his index finger at her. "You will teach me everything you know about magic!" He proposed. "Deal!" Dawn accepted stretching out her hand for a hand shake with a smile as wide as her face. Michael instead proposed his fist. "It's game on, partner!" They both said as they linked their fists together.
"Alchemy, spells, philosopher stones and magical spirits. I know that these things in your world are called fantasy. But in my world these things exist. I never wanted to have any relation with these kind of things at all. And up until now I was doing pretty well. But life's a big, fat bitch. I'm not a hero, neither a legend. And don't get me wrong this isn't a story of redemption and stuff like that. This is just a story about a teenager desperately trying to get away from his failures. A story about a nobody trying to be a somebody. Will he succeed? Who knows? Will he try his fucking best? Hell yeah! The story about THE Michael King becoming the strongest magician is about to begin!"
