Déjà Vu
Kwan Jiwon's POV
After that thing yesterday, I seriously don't know if I can still look Yoongi-ah in the eye. Because seriously, he even gave me a pair of clean uniform?! Where'd he even get those from? How'd he know my size? Lastly, how is he so prepared?!
Flashback
I was being dragged around by Min Yoongi, one of the new hot specimen in our class. Heck, I didn't know which was more alarming. My heart twitching because of too much beat skips with a hot guy holding my wrist or if my nose is twitching because the smell of this disgusting soup is killing the signal receptors in my nose. For God's sake, this is too much of an awkward moment.
We both stopped in front of the girls' washroom and he let go of my hand. I still feel awkward standing next to him smelling like this, looking like this and him touching me like this. My cheeks were red with embarrassment because he wiped his hands on his pants because of the wet, viscosity of the soup.
After doing so, he put his backpack facing front and started backpack rummaging. After a few seconds of being busy with his backpack, he finally took out a pair of clean uniform, girls' uniform, not a P.E. uniform and handed it over to me.
"Make sure to wash your hair too. Take a shower. I heard that in this washroom near the gym, there's a shower. Remove the smell. You smell bad." Yoongi said, handing over the clean uniform, no wrinkles. I stared at it.
He tilted his head to the side. "You ain't taking it?"
"Oh um, uh..." I scrambled and took the uniform in his hands. I bowed my head down to show my gratefulness and said, "Thank you, but um... where did you get this from? If it's from the office, I can pay you. How much is it? I don't like having debts with people and I-"
"-It's nothing, I just happened to bring one..." He cut my sentence off and said, looking away, his hand shyly scratching his nape.
I nodded. "Alright... If you say so."
End of Flashback
"I'll be going. Jiwon! Don't be late again! Your food's already cooked!" Mom shouted from downstairs. Good thing her voice is loud enough to reach from the front door to my bedroom.
I groaned as I get ready. I did my usual routine. Took a bath, stared at the mirror before changing into my clothes. I wore my favorite crop top gray hoodie with a pair of black leggings. I sighed quietly before heading downstairs.
I was gleefully eating the round, yummy pancakes that were served on the table when someone knocked on the front door. It ruined my quiet eating moment so I grumbled silently as I open the door, the plate of pancakes still in my hands.
I opened the door. My eyes widened. My knees weakened and I almost dropped the plate I had in my hand.
It was Seokjin-ah, with Hyuna.
"H-Hyuna... Hi." I stutteringly mumbled, not even making eye contact with the man next to her.
Jin-ah tapped me on my shoulder. "Hi, too, Jiwon-ah. I'm also alive, just for your information. Oh, by the way-"
"What do you call me if I'm standing outside your door? I'M OUTSTANDING." Both Hyuna and Jin-ah said in unison. They looked at each other, surprised and started to burst out in laughter. "You know that joke?"
"Yeah, actually I do. I tell that to her every single day." Hyuna said, her eyes sparkling with interest.
I finally got the hang of what was happening and I just leaned on the wall next to me. I smirked, as I continued eating my pancakes. I just stood there, watching the two human beings in front of me bicker with each other. Jin-ah finally realized what was happening and asked,
"You won't even let us in?"
"It didn't look to me as if you wanted to get in my house. And I'm sorry. I don't let in strangers." I took a glance at Hyuna and silently chuckled.
"Oh come on, my feet are tired."
"It doesn't look like it, you're happily bickering with Mr. Kim over there." I pointed my mouth at Jin-ah and snickered.
Hyuna had enough of my insulting and finally pushed me out of the way and got inside along with Jin-ah. I just laughed a little and shook my head before walking over to the comfy 'friends' sitting on my couch, acting like couples. These people literally just met yesterday. Heck, I didn't even notice that they're friends already. Because of what happened at recess, I barely felt the passing of the subjects I had left because I spent most of the time dwelling on the scene. Contemplating about it.
"Why did the two of you go here anyway?" I asked as I finished the last cut of the pancake. I started washing the dishes.
"Yeah, well, I came here to pick you up and walk with you to school. While I was coming here, Jin-oppa was already here in front of your house." Hyuna explained and Jin-ah started speaking up.
"Yeah, I came here too because of what happened yesterday with you and Yoongi-ah," He crossed his arms because he was feeling cold. "He told me to check on you. Jimin also asked me to."
"Why are they so curious? We just met each other yesterday... We haven't even talked to each other before that." I asked, finally done with the dishes.
I put on my pair of sneakers and swung the backpack over onto my back. Both Hyuna and Jin-ah finally stood up from that couch and followed behind me, before getting out of the house first. I locked the door behind me and just as I was about to speak, the door to the house in front of mine opened and out came six boys.
"Hyung! So that's where you went!" Jungkook-ah said, running over to us. He looked at Hyuna and I. "Hi noonas! You're Jiwon-noona, right? And what about you? What's your name?"
I laughed and looked at Hyuna. She seemed insulted. Instead, she started ruffling Jungkook's hair and said, a hint of a pissed off Hyuna, "Park Hyuna."
"Don't play with my hair!" Jungkook said, removing Hyuna's hand on his.
We started walking when the rest of the group followed after us.
"So uh, Jin-oppa, how long has the group been a group? How'd you guys got here? What's the name of your squad?" Hyuna asked continuously, not even daring to take a breath.
"Sis, calm down. No one can answer your questions if you continue like that, now won't they?" Jimin-ah said with a smug smirk on his face, his arm over Hyuna's shoulder, mocking her.
"You just told me not to mess with you," Hyuna eyed Jimin-ah from head to toe. "Then why are you messing with me?"
Hyuna sent Jimin's arm flying and she started walking ahead of us. Because of the siblings' little bickering with each other, all of us laughed together. When we did, I fell down, tripping down to my knees.
"Hey!" Jimin cried, catching me before I hit the ground. He caught me with him taking a hold of my arms before my face landed on the cement.
Well, that was what I thought. My eyes were closed, therefore I didn't know who actually caught me. I stood up, looking down on my feet as I was dusting my clothes before I started thanking whoever it was. I looked up to meet him.
"Oh, thanks Yoongi-ah." I shyly muttered out and looked away. When I did, Jimin's face met mine.
I don't if it was just me but it felt like he was a bit irritated. Or something. "Are you really okay, Jiwon-ah? You're not hurt or anything, right? You didn't get scratched anywhere, right?"
"Hey, Jimin-ah, you scolded Hyuna earlier, not to continuously ask questions," Hoseok-ah butted it in between our conversations and started mocking Jimin as well. "Then why with Jiwon-ah, though?"
Jimin was too shy to answer so he started stumbling among his own words. "Cat got your tongue?" Namjoon-ah asked, hopping in along with mockery now as well.
I turned to look at Yoongi-ah to start a conversation with him when he was already lighting up his own cigarette.
"Hey, Yoongi-ah, don't smoke," I asked of him, trying to take the cigarette from his mouth but he pushed me away. "I might get my asthma triggered."
"Then stay away from me." He retorted away from me and glared at me.
For a split second, I felt everything copy an old scene. Same with this scene. Yoongi-ah pushed me away. Also because of a cigarette. But there was no way this has happened before.
It was probably just Déjà Vu.
