Chapter three
"Good morning ma'am" her secretary, a petite woman of about sixty said as she walked towards her office.
"Good morning Charlotte" she answered faking a smile.
Her secretary followed her, chatting away as she always did, she liked the old woman's charisma but this morning she wasn't interested in her chitchat .
"You look tired and pale, are you perhaps sick?" Charlotte asked.
"No , I am fine" she answered sharply.
"You look haunted by a ghost " Charlotte mumbled.
"You know I heard that, by the ways I don't believe in ghosts" she replied.
"Alright" Charlotte said "ghosts probably don't exist but vampires do" she continued.
"What! You must be silly! " Isabella exclaimed. "Out of my office , I have work to do"
"I think you are being haunted by a vampire from your reaction" Charlotte said enjoying working her boss up as usual.
"That's crazy, leave now" she replied .
'What if vampires are real' Isabella wondered.
"You must have had a nightmare, that's the only explanation for this" Ryan told Isabella trying to comfort her as she explained the last night experience to her fiancé.
Ryan would never believe in such ridiculous thoughts, vampires can't be in existence.
"I am sure that this isn't a nightmare" she argued back although calmly, she had called him after work to meet her at their favourite restaurant , she really appreciated the fact that he showed up and does not want to upset him.
"Never mind, just eat now " Ryan told her.
They continued eating and chatting away , then Ryan noticed that she was looking around uneasily , like a prey that has perceived the presence of its predator.
"What is it?" He asked.
"Nothing, I just feel like someone is watching me from afar" she answered .
"Its no...." He was saying when she suddenly cut him off.
"That's him, behind that red car, the vampire". She said half scared and half fascinated pointing to a car in the parking lot.
"I can't see anybody, Isabella there is nobody there". He answered her.
"I saw him, he disappeared, he was right there". She said again.
He had trailed her to the restaurant, he knew she felt him watching her, and when there eyes made connections, he saw the excitement in her eyes.
He heard her tell her partner that he was there, and with the wind he vanished.
He would return, he would trail her again.
She reminded him of someone. The fire in her eyes, her strong will, he had seen it before.
