To-Do List (No. 3)
29th December, 2018.
Last night, Cathy was thinking about the reason why Sharun was helping her but, she couldn't find any.
Next Day morning.
After having the breakfast, Sharun took out Cathy's to-do list and read it.
'Do a stage show? What are you going to do on the stage?' asked Sharun eagerly.
'I like singing and I wanted to make a career in it.' replied Cathy.
'See, so you were going to leave all your dreams behind you.' said Sharun
Cathy nodded.
'Sometimes you sound like an oldie philosopher.' said Cathy
Sharun chuckled.
'And by the way, how big can a person, from a middle class family dream?' asked Cathy
'That's a boy-problem. Girls don't have to think of supporting their family. They can do whatever they want and then, get married.' said Sharun
'This comment from you, made me hate you. Why can't boys follow their dream and then, marry a girl who can support her family, with her job?' asked Cathy angrily.
'No. I'm sorry. Let's calm down and leave this topic.' said Sharun, Ina low voice.
'No.' said Cathy, in a firm voice.
Cathy cont'd 'Since you have started this topic. I want to say a little about it.'
Cathy leaned forward and placed her hands on the table.
'You are saying, girls can marry any guy and spent rest of her life in the kitchen. And why can't boys depend on their wife, ego? ' said Cathy.
'You know, there was a friend of mine, who once said, he won't let his wife do a job. Because, if she do a job, she'll have an affair, like the boys have.' said Sharun
Sharun tried to distract Cathy's attention from the topic and he did it.
'Your friend is a fool.' said Cathy.
'I know.' replied Sharun
Sharun continued looking at the to-do list.
'Rob a shop like seen in movies? You want me to point a gun on someone?' asked Sharun.
Cathy smiled.
'I don't know why I wrote that. But it's fun, right?' asked Cathy
Cathy cont'd 'It's more like self-satisfaction. I just want to take a one rupee candy and don't pay its price.'
Sharun laughed.
'Let's don't waste time and do it now. We need more time for your biggie dreams.' said Sharun
Sharun and Cathy went to the same shop from where they bought the cigarette.
Sharun distracted the shopkeeper by talking to him. When the shopkeeper walked away from his shop, talking to Sharun ; Cathy went to the shop and took two candies.
Spending some fun time together, Cathy and Sharun went back to the hotel. Cathy went to her room and Sharun waited near the reception. He talked to the receptionist about vacating the rooms.
Few minutes later, Sharun went to Cathy's room.
'We need to leave today.' said Sharun
Cathy was shocked.
'Why? W... What happened?' asked Cathy.
'Nothing to worry.' replied Sharun
Sharun cont'd 'You want to see something you haven't seen before and for that, we need to step out of our comfort.'
'Okay.' replied Cathy
Cathy cont'd 'I thought , you were done with this list.'
'No, we will tear this list of yours, on the seventh day.' replied Sharun
Cathy smiled.
