THE SECOND DAY OF OT
The second day of OT started with a bang. There were some religious conflicts happening in few cities of Maharashtra and the students were hoping for a holiday. But, they were forced to come and attend the session.
Since there was strike , only few students came to the college. When Shane entered the class he prayed 'God please, I want a holiday today. It's not a place for me.'
But, approximately thirty four students were present. At teenty fuve past nine, a tall, fat ma'am entered the classroom. She had red-brown coloured hair, was wearing a black square spectacles and was carrying a expensive purse with her.
She kept her purse on the rable, took a paper from it and started her session. She started her session without introducing herself so, the students asked her name. But, she ignored them.
After an hour of boring talk by the ma'am, her session was interrupted by two students. Two boys, one was tall and the other had an average height. They both were well dressed, wearing shiny black shoes but, they were sweating a lot. They walked in to the classroom, stood in front of the ma'am. The ma'am asked the tall boy to wait outside the class. When the boy went out , she shut the classroom door.
'What is your name?' asked the ma'am, in a loud sharp voice to the boy, who has an average height.
'I'm Ramesh.' the boy smiled.
'Why are you late? Don't you know tge class timing?' the ma'am asked, angrily.
Ramesh said that , he and his friend had to attend a class and then , due to the conflict, they couldn't get a cab or rickshaw.
After getting a proper explanation for being late from Ramesh, she let him sit on the bench. After Ramesh settled down, she opened the class door and let the tall boy in. She asked the same question to him. The boy gave the same reasons for being late as Ramesh. And the ma'am was convinced that they were telling the truth.
The first half of the session was boring. The students were sleepy, they were trying to concentrate but, they couldn't.
**Lunch Break ***
Two men carrying a big cylindrical aluminum tin and and a cardboard box came to the class. They keot the box on the table, kept on the left corner of the class. When they opened the tin, the tantalizing aroma of the vegetable cury spread around the class. The student formed a line near the table, holding plates in their hands. Four pluto sized chapatis and some vegetable cury with jupiter sized potatoes, the smell was good but it was tasteless.
After the lunch, the second session began. After the lunch, the students were sleepy. So, the ma'am decided to play a game.
'Imagine that you are Jack, and the titanic is sinking. The mesmerizing music of John horner is played in the background. There are fourteen objects in the ship and you need to pick them on the basis of their usefulness.' said the ma'am, looking at the students.
The sound of murmur increased. Students started to discuss about the game among eachother.
' Silence' shouted the ma'am.
The ma'am cont'd 'I'll make groups of five. And then , I'll explain the rules to you. So, stop talking among yourselves.'
The ma'am formed groups of five. Ramesh, Dilesh (Ramesh's friend) , Kavya and two other students were on one team. Shane, Ritika, and three other students were on the other team. When the teams were formed, the students were asked to sit with their team.
After the students were settled down and the class became quite. The ma'am took a pink chalk from a small cloth bag and wrote down fourteen random things on the black board.

Rum
Chocolate..... etc.
'You need to arrange them on the basis of their usefulness. You need to number which thing you'll pick first and which one at last.' said the ma'am, looking at the students.
The ma'am cont'd 'The game has two stages. In the first stage, you need to number them individually, without discussing with your team. And, in the second stage, you need to arrange those things after discussing with your team. '
****Gooooong..... ***
The game began. After fifteen minutes, the students completed the first stage of the game. When the ma'am gave permission to discuss with their teams, the whole class became noisy. After twenty minutes of chitter n chatter, the game finished. The ma'am checked the results and declared team C, the team of Payal as winners.
During the last hour of the session, the ma'am introduced herself with a small speech.
'My name is Pooja Mishal. I'm a CA, I did MBA as well as CMA. I didn't introduce myself in the beginning of the session because, I wanted to build a bad image of myself in your minds. When I entered this class, you noticed my bag, my heels, my bangles and the color of my lipstick. And some of you might have thought that, I'm overconfident, arrogant or strict. So, I played like that.
I want you kids to learn and understand an important lesson - Never Judge a person, if you don't know them. So, instead of judging eachother and fighting, spend this little time of your life happily. After fifteen days, you will leave this classroom, leave this friends and will be active for a week or two in the whatsapp group. But later, it will be gone. You all will be strangers again. But, some of you'll still be friends. That's because, though you don't know eachother , you will learn to accept eachother the way they are. And trust me, it's a different kind of friendship. A beautiful one. BYE. HOPE YOU HAVE GREAT DAYS AHEAD. '
Pooja ma'am left the classroom. The students grabbed their bags and rushed out of the class.
