The police was banging the door. It was too loud that it end up echoing the whole house.

“Where should we hide?” I asked Tala.

“No need to hide follow me” Father said.

He immediately stood up and run inside the kitchen. There's a large cabinet with a lot of plates and cup inside. He slowly pushed it and end up seeing a secret door.

“Inside now!” Father shouted.

All of us immediately went inside. There's a stairs going down. It was too dark until my father open the switch. A lot of light was turn on and we saw how big it is inside.

We heard a loud bang outside, maybe the main door was already broken. Father immediately close the door that we just entered in.

“Let's hurry” Said he while running down stairs.

And there. We saw a large room full of papers and science stuff that I don't even know. But on the top of it, you can see what's happening outside. I can see how the moon is shinning outside. It was full moon already?

“I've been- I mean me and your mother are working to fix the portal. We both wanted to see Venus once again but there's much more important than seeing her ”father said.

I didn't answer because I was too confused to respond.

“Saving the person you love” he continue.

And with that I realized that I'm holding Tala's hand all this time. I stared at her eyes. She's beautiful as ever. Why is it its too late for me to see how perfect she is?

Tala is so confused. Oh right. I never told her that I love her.

I was about to tell her when there's a loud spark coming from behind. It was my father starting the engine.

There's a metal claw like in front of us. It was sparkling. We can see the electricity coming inside the metal.

“Stay back for awhile” shouted father.

I hold Tala's hand tightly. The place was shinning because the electricity. Good thing that thing dont hit us.

As I look at the other side I saw my mother pushing so many buttons. They don't speak to each other but they know what they were doing.

Then without a moment long. There's a huge hole. They made it. A portal.

“So this is goodbye” said Tala.

“No. I'll go with you ”said I

Tala smiled.

“I'll say my goodbye first. Thank you for everything Liam. Goodbye my hero ”said Angel then gave me a kiss from my cheeks. Tala glared at Angel, but Angel just smiled and laugh at Tala. Angel went inside the portal first.

I hold Tala's hand. I don't want to let her go. I want to be with her. I want to be by her side forever.

Both of us started walking near the portal. I look back to see both my parents smiling. Holding the portal for us.

“Tala. Tell your mother we're sorry ”shouted father.

Tala smiled and “Yes, of course”

“We only have twenty seconds left to hold the portal”

As we started walking. Tala stops for a moment. The portal is just two steps behind her. Tala hold my cheeks and smiled.

“Do you know that my people used to go to the moon just to date” Said Tala.

I was so confused what she's trying to say.

“In my world, the moon is actually a dating spot”

“Wha-?”

“The moon is beautiful isn't it?” And Tala started to look at the moon.

“What do you mean?”

“Fly me to the moon” Tala said then smiled.

I was so speechless. And the last thing I know is that she let go off my hand and started entering the portal. I dont have enough time so I end up left behind.

The portal disappeared.

Tala is gone.

She's gone.

“I love you” Mother said.

“What?”

“'The moon is beautiful isn't it' means I love you“

And with that. Tears came down through my cheeks. All I know is that I burst into tears and feeling the warm hugs of my parents.

I didn't have a chance to say I love her.

I'm a fool.

I love her. So much.

Starting that day. I never saw her again.

The three us are under investigation but there was no proof because my father hide every evidence.

After that. Everything was back to normal.

I don't even know what normal is anymore.
