Camila Cabello:
I’m sitting in The Late Late Show’s studio, in front of James Corden and I’m watching him smile. He’s been smiling since the moment I arrived and he was smiling while he asked some questions about my career. I know him well, so I’m not surprised, but now I know that the interview is taking another turn.
„Just one more question” he says and his smile becomes bigger.
„I’m waiting” I giggle and I get very excited.
„This question is about Shawn.”
„About Shawn?” I raise my eyebrows curiously.
„Yes, about Shawn.” he nods.
„Because, he just released his new song and the video for it, his new album is coming out in December, his movie is coming out in the next month, which I saw the trailer of, by the way. You are in the movie too and I think I can say that the whole world loves the two of you as a couple.”
„Oh, thank you” I blush, a bit embarrassed.
„It’s the truth” he says and the audience starts clapping. „So, the question is: If you could describe Shawn Mendes with one word, what would that word be?”
„Woah, it’s so hard. It depends on the way you’re asking me. So, in what way should I describe him?”
„There are no ways” he shakes his head. „Who is Shawn Mendes? Just answer, Camila.”
I have to take a deep breath.
It is really hard.
„Hmmm” I’m thinking out loud. „Shawn is an angelic son, a talented singer, a protective brother, a really cute boyfriend, a muse, an idol with a golden heart and a man full of love.” I can’t choose the perfect word that describes him.
I can’t help, but to smile.
I love him so much.
We’ve been through some hard and scary situations together. I can’t forget that show, when he had a panic attack and I was the only person who could help him.
„But with one word. If you really have to choose only one word. What would that be? What word describes Shawn Mendes the best?” James asks, trying to help me.
„One word” I mummble, tasting the words. „I know!” I cry out joyfully.
„Shawn Mendes is a wonder.”
