Life isn't easy. It's not even supposed to be, and we all know it. And that's something that is necessary to help us realize.
Realize that if there were no downs, then we wouldn't appreciate the ups
If there was no bad, then we wouldn't celebrate the good
If there was no sorrow, then happiness wouldn't mean as much
If there was no dark, then light wouldn't have come to be known as relief
If there was no misery, then we wouldn't pine for hope
If there was no hatred, then we wouldn't wish so desperately to love and be loved
If there were no tears, then smiles wouldn't be as beautiful
If there were no clouds, then we'd just get sick of the sunlight being there all the time
If there were no enemies, then we wouldn't realize the importance of friends
If there was no chaos, then peace would not be valued
We've got to know and learn and accept both black and white
It's as simple as looking at the world through a pair of glasses. We just need to get on the blurred side once in a while, in order to appreciate and cherish the focused side of things.
