Cold case
This happened 20 years ago, the investigations were interrupted due to lack of evidence but the discovery of new clues upsetted everything.
We are in 1999, Ariana is 11. She lives with her family in the Minnesota. Like every Children of her age, she goes to school.
Today Ariana is very happy because it's the weekend and her father promised to take her to an amusement park on Saturday.
The next morning, she wakes up early to prepare herself as her dad told her the night before.
They finally leave the house singing and grinning. On their way to the park, she felt bad. Her stomach aches her indeed, so her father park the car. She gets down from the car and goes straight in bush to ease herself.
All of a sudden, as she is squatted, someone burst out behind her, grab her by the hip and close her mouth in a rude way. She tries to scream vainly and then faints after few seconds. The man takes her to a secret warehouse as her dad is still near the car waiting for her to finish to ease herself. After few minutes, her dad starts to be worried, so shouts her name " Ariana, Ariana!!! My sweetheart are you okay " but nobody replied. So he decides to go and look in the bush but no Ariana, then he sees her bracelet laid in the bush. " Oh my God, my baby girl" he cried. He immediately calls the police, that arrives about 30minutes later, an investigation is launched to find Ariana. A week later, she is found dead in the same place she was kidnapped. Her body was nude with blood all over her, the man that kidnapped her raped her many times and killed her indeed. Her family was devastated by the discovery, and it seemed not possible to find the killer. Many months passed, and years after years, the killer was stil in the nature, the police department finally classified the investigation. But her parents didn't want to give up so easily, so they continued the investigation by themselves but unfortunately after many years again, they found nothing, so they resigned themselves. But unexpectedly, in October 2019, the cold case is opened and the investigation for the killing of the little Ariana 20 years ago is restarted because of the strange testimony of a eyewitness of the crime. In fact is was the killer's sister, the details she gave about how the killing of Ariana had been orchestrated was so incredible that the criminal department experts couldn't doubt anymore. She added that she was forced by her brother not to talk about what happened but now she was fed up. The next day, the killer is captured by the police at his house and after days of trial, sentenced to 60years of prison. Though they knew the sentence would not bring their girl back, Ariana's parents were a little bit satisfied. Justice finally triumphed.
