Maria
The ending's a little dark.
I walked into the open space room and made a bee line to the centre where a young woman stood with her back to me. Soft murmurs echoed throughout the wide space and as I inched closer, the words became even more confusing. Latin, I thought. Maria knows Latin?
I slowly walked over to the girl and gently placed my hand on her shoulder.
"Maria? What's wrong?" I asked slowly. She didn't respond, probably lost in her own thoughts, so I tried again.
"Maria?" I said a little louder.
She jumped and swatted my hand away, immediately stepping back.
"Hey. Hey. Maria. It's me. Sebastian. It's okay." I said as I raised my hands up.
She looked at me with wild eyes. Her face held a flurry of emotions, but the most evident was clearly fear.
I slowly reached into my left pocket and brought out a small red rubber ball. I squeezed the sphere and it made a slight wheezing sound. Maria's eyes widened with surprise as her mouth fell open.
"Maria? It's me. Mr. Houdini."
I looked at the ball and flicked my wrist. I opened my palm to show her that the ball had vanished.
Her mouth closed as she stared at me with curiosity. Then a flash of recognition graced her features as she began smiling. She stepped towards me and hugged me. I hugged back, holding tight, hoping that this would all go away. That these episodes would cease to exist.
"What happened?" I asked as I felt the area where she laid her head dampen.
"Why are you crying?" I asked yet I still recieved no answer.
"Wanna go home, love?" I said, sure that she would. I gently raised my wife's chin as I stared into her eyes. She looked so fragile, so broken.
"... can't."
"What do you mean can't? Maria, you don't have to worry. I got an online job. I can take care of you."
She stepped away. "Can't. Can't... hurt you."
She kept backing away.
"Maria-"
She abruptly raised her hand and stopped me in my tracks.
"Be happy." She said.
"You make me happy."
Tears rolled down her face.
"I love you." She choked before she fell to the ground.
I rushed to her aid. Time seemed to go slower. She felt farther away. With every second I counted at heart, it felt like her soul left her body bit by bit, like fragmented glass finally shattering.
By the time I got to her, her eyes had rolled back. I panicked and tilted her head to the side. I knew there was no way of saving her, but I still pumped at her chest. This can't be happening. Her head turned to me and a tear fell from her forest green eyes as she smiled at me.
Then her eyes glassed over and her body went limp. I held her for what felt like hours. I felt just as numb as she was.
Staring into her now dull eyes, I noticed the colour grow darker, almost sinister. her skin began paling and her body grew cold. As every second passed, she seemed to morph into a stranger. My warm, kind, loving wife felt like a memory, fading into the depths of the forgotten.
For it was the curse of the entire world to forget the loved ones they lost. A 'gift' granted to them from the gods before time, so that they may not feel pain.

Third Person POV
He tried. Truly tried to remember her, but the virus was too strong. within the hour, he could barely recognize his betrothed. He woke up, and out of chivalry carried her body to the metallic door. He knocked and a slit opened. A man looked at Sebastian and the girl, before closing the slit and opening the door. Sebastian walked out and as the man locked the gate back up, Sebastian asked,
"Who is this?"
The man turned to him and examined the girl.
"Don't know."
