4b. Reflecting on your Life- Through the Light of the Word.
The Psalmist said, “Thy Word oh Lord is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path psalm 119:105. Through the Word I’ve discovered that we are able to have a better view of life, away from myriads of vain philosophies and ideologies of men being bantered around. Get in the Word for yourself on a targeted search to know how to handle certain areas of concern to you. Looking through scriptures in the right perspective, and examining the content of your values and believes and bringing it in line with the Truths you discover in scriptures. You will realize that you’ll experience greater balance and stability in your daily living, because the things you discover, in time alone with, can Never be taken away from you Luke10:42.
1Corinthians 8:2 says “and if any man thinks he Knows anything. He knows nothing yet as he ought to know.” Meaning we are to keep seeking greater light through scriptures, for life and living. In settling down before God and reminding yourself of how God has brought you through many challenges, you will experience your Faith building up and increasing on a daily basis. Also you would see joy well up in your heart as you remember the great victory God has wrought for you according to Psalm 103:1-5.
Confidence also wells up within you, when you call to rememberance the goodness and victory of God over you because your faith will begins to feed on them.
Galatians 6:3 says “For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself vs4– But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.”
Examine your life, examine your choices, examine your principles; are they in line with God’s word and plans for you? Have you being taking the right path that leads to life? Have you being executing your plans the way God will have you do them, or have you missed God at many turns? For it’s in the path of Christ, your Grace abounds John 15:10. It’s in wisdom your Grace is Found. Thus Proverbs 14:12 says “There is a way which seems right to a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. This is also reiterated in Proverbs 16:25.
Thus it is time to take stock of your life through the Light of the Word and set in proper order the things that are a) loosing course b) going out of course from God’s plan for you. c) and are yet to take form in God’s plan for your life.
God can be trusted with our plans because He knows the end right from the very beginning. If He rightly set the earth in order, then your life is not a difficult project for him to fix.
Psalm 37:4-5 says 4 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
Pro 16:3 ALSO says, “Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established”.(KJV)
Thus we see that God is Not interested in us failing in life but prospering. Isa 48:17 says “Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go”. He has our interest at heart but most times the issue is Always about our prelearned or premeditated plans that struggles with His. We always feel we know better, or are more civilized to know what is right or wrong for our own good and at other times we tend to think His ways, leading or instructions are too difficult for us to keep up with. Yet, when we commit our works, ideas and desires to the Lord, He would reveal to us the right way to go. Many times the way He would have us go are usually higher than our ways and thoughts Isaiah 55:8-9, but they are Always for our good and targeted at favoring us Isaiah 48:17.
Therefore, in the Place of fellowship with the Lord in prayers and Word Study with the help of the Holy Spirit we access God’s perfect plan and directions for our Lives and as we obey Him we’ll begin to see great victories in our lifes John 16:13.
