Part 2 The Town

She turned the key but it was no use it wouldn’t start. She didn’t know why because it was still half full of petrol. Angela was so scared but still she looked out of her car window, to see that they were outside, staring in. Her aunty no longer seemed so kind and friendly but she had a wicked look about her, like she wasn’t herself. She looked almost as dead as the ghost woman standing next to her. Angela screamed. She need to get away. It was stupid but that was the only thing she could do; she opened the door on the passengers side and ran as fast as she could. Where could she run to? The next town was too far away but yet she carried on running, until she was sure she lost them.

She sat down behind a wall, breathing heavily. Why did I come here? I don’t understand why is my aunty helping that ghost with what ever it is doing? I need to get out of here, Angela thought. Then she saw someone. A man this time but he didn’t die from an illness like the other one. He was covered in blood. He had been stabbed a lot of times by the looks of it, and he wore old fashioned clothes. Angela was about to run again but he was already too close to her. "Don’t run! I will not hurt you, but you need to get out of here or you will end up like everyone else in this town," He said.

"Why, what happened here?" She asked.

"There was a witch who lived here years ago, and she cursed it. The curse drained people of this town and anyone who visited, of their life little by little so that she could live for ever until finally they died. But this didn’t last long everyone started to fight back because they refused to let her take their life force. This made the witch mad so she started to kill everone who fought against her, but when she did this she never thought about the consequences of that. There was no one left for her to drain of life so she grew weak and ill just like the peoples lifes she took. She grew too weak so she died at precisely twelve o’clock but she never left," The ghost man explained. It was even more worse than what she had thought. The ghost woman was the witch, and she would die just like all of her other victims if she didn’t get out, but were did her aunty fit in to all this.

"What about my aunt where does she fit into this?" Angela asked.

"She bought the house about three years ago. She was unaware that it used to be the witche’s house. She was such a lovely woman your aunty but she didn’t believe in ghosts, and witches so she refused to listen to our warnings. The witch has started to drain her life but not enough to kill her because the witch wants to come back to life, but your aunty is too old. She needs someone young. That’s why she has posessed her but she never would have asked you to come, if she believed that their was an actual witch in that house. No more questions now you must get out of here before it’s too late," he said.

"But how? My car doesn’t work. The next town’s too far, I can’t walk it?" She asked, frightened.

"That is not good, the witch must be stopping you from leaving. Then you must find another way to get home."

"Wait, how am I supposed to do that?" She asked but he was already gone. "No don’t leave me, help me."

Angela didn’t know how to get home but the longer she stayed there she would start to become weak. She needed to find away to get out of there once and for all, but she couldn’t leave her aunty. That witch would end up killing her. She got up to start walking, and she stopped every so often. She didn’t know where she was walking to but she didn’t want to go back to her aunties house or the witches. But some how she found her self back there.

There was a body on the floor; a womans body. Angela walked closer and realised it was her aunty. She sunk to the floor. She was doomed. The witch had killed everyone and now she was going to kill her. Angela started to cry. She didn’t know what to do.

"Don’t cry child, it won’t be that bad and you will get to live in my town," a womans voice said. It was more of a shriek than a normal voice. Angela looked up to see that it was the witch. She was smiling at her with such an evil smile. It almost seemed demonic.

"I don’t want to live in your town," Angela said.

"But you will get to be with your auntie forever."

"I don’t care. I will not let you take my life so that you can come back, and hurt more people." Angela got up and ran. She had no choice she would just have to try and run to the next town. Even if she only got half of the way at least she would be away from there. The witch shrieked in laughter.

"Do you really think you can run away from me?" The witch asked.

Angela kept running and she knew the witch was following her. Suddenly she felt a pain in her leg but she didn’t stop; she couldn’t, she had no time. But she slowed down, limping from the pain.

The witch caught up to her and muttered something. Angela fell to the floor face first. She screamed in pain her nose felt broken.

"You really thought you could ascape from me didn’t you? No one ascapes from my town. I don’t need your life I can find someone elses but I can’t let you leave here. I will kill you," The witch said and turned Angela to face her. Angela started to cry again. This is it I’m going to die. Angela thought as the witch leaned closer to her a knife appering in her hand. The witch was about to stab her.

"No... Please don’t... Please," Angela pleaded. The witch laughed again.

All of a sudden the witch stopped and looked around her annoyed. "What do you want?" She demanded. Angela looked around and noticed that there were ghosts all around them, including her aunty. One of the men ghosts pulled her back, away from Angela and then they surrounded her.

"I’m so sorry Angela I wish I never asked you to come here. Get out of here now," Aunty Robyn said. Angela didn’t need to be told twice she scrambled up off of the floor and started to run as well as her leg would let her.

The fog started to clear as it started raining. It was as if it was washing away all the bad things that had happened to her in that town.  It was washing away all the evil the witch had brought to the town.

She ran until she was out. I’m out. I’m safe now, my aunty helped me. I can go home. Angela started to walk, she was too tired from running. She didn’t feel well, she felt very weak.

After a few minutes she had to stop because she felt sick. Angela felt really ill but she didn’t care. She was nearly at the next town. She would be home soon. She would be back at her mum’s house and she couldn’t wait to see her. She carried on walking and walking, knowing she would be far away from that awful witch town soon.
