The cafe bell ringed signalling someone entered th cafe. I don't need to turn and see who. I already know it's him. His manly smell overpowered me. I looked from my coffee to meet his beautiful deep blue eyes, the one I have fallen in love with. But today something was off about them. They did not have the natural glow in them. It bothered me.

Me and Nick meet two years ago. He is my brothers best friend. And I had just moved to New York city.

Nick helped me opening my own publishing house 'Dreamers Publication' and now it is the best publication house in whole New York.

And during that period we unconsciously fell in love or at least I did and he fell gradually. He is really a sweet guy. But his cold outlook can easily fool other's.

Nick is a multimillionaire along with his best friends. They own a lot of companies over the world. And my brother Ethen is one of them.

So anyway, as I was saying Nick is really  a sweet guys and I love him very much. But these days something feels off about him like he does mot love me anymore.

"Are you done day-dreaming?" his voice snapped me out of my train of thoughts.

"sorry"

He shakes his head while smiling

"So are you writing anything New?"

I think I forgot to tell you I am a writer as well.

"Umm.. actually nope. I don't have any good ideas for the book so I thought of giving it a break"

"that's good you need a break you have been stressing a lot these days"

"I know but I have to complete it soon " I said signing.

He leaned forward and held my hand and pressed it slightly in a reassuring way.

"stop stressing, you need to rest"
He then planned a soft kiss on my hands.

"ok enough about me tell me about your day" and he sighed playfully.

After one and a half of talking about ourself we finally parted our ways. I had only walked few steps when I remember I forgot to ask Nick about his upcoming meetings in London. Nick office was nearby so I decided to walk back and ask him.

Opening his office I think I saw something I wasn't supposed to see. Nick and a girl making out on his office chair.

They pounced away from each other after hearing the door open. Nick's eyes were wide open in shock and regret. He opened his mouth to say something but closed it again. My heart felt like it was to explode but there  were no tears in my eyes. I stood boldly there and

"Thanks Nick for giving me chance to find someone better that you" with that I turned and left his office without turning back.
