Prologue: Part 1
“Once upon a time, there was a legend. A legend that no one knew where it came from, but one everyone had heard of. It dwelled deep into the caves of the folk heart. A legend, maybe older than magic itself. It was mostly used as a fairytale or a lullaby for the young ones, that had restless nights. Lots of kids would fall asleep in the sound of the legend. The legend of “THE SEVEN MAGICAL GEMS”. Seven precious stones that if gathered together, they could fulfill 2 wishes that were within their principles. That is the legend everyone knows, but none speak of. Some say that there are people that believe in this tale. And they are true, for some people that believe in tales more than they do in reality. Such is the tale of two young ones, that travelled far and wide to chase a fleeting (?) dream. Was it a tale or was it the truth? Nobody knows, for a very thin line exists between reality and tales…”

The sun was shining brightly at the top of the morning sky illumating the beautiful city of Falland and the rest of Fieri. The streets of the city were as crowded as any normal town in the land. Through the ways of the city, a young girl of below the average height stood out of the bunch. Her long blond hair were gathered to her left side in a ponytail that fell just on top of her shoulder. Her white sleeveless shirt’s end slightly swayed due to the summer breeze. “I really need to go somewhere cooler… This heat is killing me!” She thought to herself as she motioned her right hand in front of her face and fixed her black skirt downwards with the other. Moments later, she found an inn and slipped inside swiftly like a turtle seeking cover inside its shell. The young girl found a seat at the back of the inn, letting out a sigh of relief as she threw herself onto the chair. “That’s a lot better…” The girl said in a low voice as she unbuttoned one button of her shirt while rubbing her feet together, a motion which made a squeaky sound as her brown knee-length leather boots came into contact. Only after settling in at the inn and had her order taken, did she scan the room and realize that the building she had decided to enter was also a guild hall. Banners with different colours were hanging from the walls of the inn and lots of men and women with weapons hanging from their bodies were either enjoying their meals and booze or were chattering with their comrades. Not long after her evaluation, the doors of the guild swung open and two men stepped inside. One of them swiftly removed his good from his face, and showed his that was unexpectedly young, the girl thought. He quickly fixed his ruffled ashen hair and positioned it sideways in a left fringe as it was shorter on the sides and longer on top. He started looking around as if searching for something and suddenly he turned his gaze towards the young girl’s direction. “Is he looking at me??!” The girl thought to herself slightly panicking. Before she could process the situation the young man had already walked up to where she was sitting resting his palm on the round wooden table. “This is my seat. So I’d advice you to move.” He said in a stern and serious voice as he starred daggers through her with his sky blue eyes. “What?” The blonde girl replied being slightly taken aback. “How is it your seat? I didn’t see your name anywhere when I picked this spot.” She threw back with an aloof expression. “What?!” The young man shouted as a throbbing vein could be barely seen popping out his forehead. “What’s wrong Erin?" A tall man with a shaved head, big moustache, broad shoulders and a shinny silver armor asked casually. “This little girl is sitting on my table without permission.” Erin (presumably) replied while not even caring about the presence of the man. “What do you mean by little girl?! And why do I need your permission anyway? Did you reserve it or something?” She smartly replied while looking a lot angrier than before. “You’re really getting on my nerves!” The young man stated while slamming his palm on the table once again, this time with greater force. “And what’s a girl like you doing in a guild hall anyway?!” Erin continued. “I’ll have you know that I’m capable of anything I put my mind to… In fact I’m searching for the Seven Magical Gems as of late!” She said in a loud voice, wearing a cocky smirk during the last part. As soon as these words came out of her mouth the people inside the guild started laughing hysterically, and the smirk that the pretty lady was wearing faded away along with the statement she was so proud of. Everyone laughed instead of Erin who had lowered his head and said in a low voice to the girl who was the only one able to hear “These things don’t exist…” Then the young girl, quickly got up from her seat threw a silver coin on the table, that was more than enough for what she ordered, and left the inn in an instant with a flashed face. The girl, ran and ran through the streets of Falland until she found shelter for her bleeding soul in a back alley as she sat in the shade of the brick wall on her back. This was the 5th time someone made a laughing stock of her, because of her dream. Trying to hold back her tears she opened her satchel and unfolded a letter with a royal stamp on it. Not being able to hold back her tears any longer, they started staining the letter like raindrops as she was holding it. With shaking breaths the young girl started reading through the piece of paper, that was sent to her by none other than her mother a few days ago.
“Dear Alisha, me and your father, as well as Arwin, are deeply concerned about your wellbeing although it’s been only a week that you’ve left the safety of our home. We knew that the day after your 16th birthday you would leave Redcliff, the city you were born in, and set out to chase your lifelong dream of finding the Seven Magical Gems. Although we knew all along, we can’t but think about whether or not it was wise to let you go at such a young age. But everyday we remind ourselves of how strong of a resolve you have. I’m sending you this letter to remind you once again that we believe in you and miss you dearly.
We love you,
Mother”
That was the name of the girl crying with the letter clutched between her chest. Alisha. Alisha Leonheart. Unable to find the words to reply to her mother's letter, the past few days, she used it as an escape from the world that has been so quick to deny her life-long dream.
