Chapter one (part one)
May, 1930 ...
After i finished my talk with Mr William i went to the door to meet with Victoria ,she was waiting ,once i saw her i noticed how beautiful she was . She had beautiful blue eyes that looked like the vast length of seas , skin as fair and white as pearls and tall black hair. She was a child waiting on the door of puberty. She bowed and with a soft voice introduce her self....
"Welcome to our orphanage ,my name is Victoria Blackwood i will be showing you around " ...... i stood silent for a moment then gathered my thoughts and replayed
"Thank you , It's David walker" . She smiled. "Come, I'll show you around the first floor since we are here". She said grabbing my Hand ...
She took me back to the garden and she said " This is the main garden you walked through a little while , the orphanage is surrounded with a wall that has two gates and oh ! look there..... that girl is called Janet she is my friend " she said and vigorously started waving at the short-haired blonde girl picking apples of the tree . I just smiled .

"Now let me show you the backyard " .I followed her quietly before i said " This place is so peaceful ".She turned her face towards me and with a little smile said " Yes indeed , although some rumors may be heard on and off but don't mind any of them"
" What rumors ?" I asked
"People are killed in the forest men , women , children and sometimes animals.The police were not able to arrest the person who is responsible for these murders , so people says that he lives near and may attack anyone " she then smiled again "But don't worry we'll be alright because we did nothing bad, so nothing will happen to us"
With a smile I replied " I hope so ".I thought how innocent she was , she thinks that nothing bad will happen to her because she was a good person
"How old are you , Victoria? "
"I am 11 now... but when winter arrive i will be 12 ,and you ?" she replied calmly
" I am 23 " i replied . She smiled at me and walked ahead , my heart beat went faster , why is that happening she is just a kid .While i was deep in thought, i noticed the kid standing under the tree in the backyard , he gave me a serious look however, Victoria didn't seem to notice him.
Victoria started to explain to me how many rooms there were and when exactly dinner is served . She said that in total they're 13 child, 5 boys and 8 girls.
I saw the boy from earlier again, now standing behind Victoria. Weird thing is, she still didn't notice him
As she was talking she suddenly stopped and turned around "Victor, you should stop doing this people may get a heart attack" she said with a giggle and hugged him.
She didn't seem surprised at all, but I am sure she didn't notice him standing behind her. As I was thinking she started to introduce me to the boy
"This is Victor my twin brother, Victor this is Mr walker he..." I interrupted her "call me David".
She smiled and continued " David will be staying with us for a while".Victor looked a lot like Victoria,the blue eyes,white skin and the black hair. They were similar in many ways but I can tell, they have complete different personalities..
Finally the boy spoke "Welcome Mr David hope you enjoy your stay ", I nodded with a small smile.
"David, Victor will show you to the room you'll be staying in.I will be going now"
She quickly said good bye and ran inside, the place was filled with silence before Victor spoke again with a cold tone "follow me" and walked ahead of me.
He lead me to the second floor, which had a lot of doors, we went through the second door to our left.
We entered a room which was neither small nor big. It consisted of two beds on both sides, a small closet and a window that allowed the sun to make it's way to the room. It was tidy and well organised
"You will be staying in this room which is also mine" Victor explained coldly and continued, not giving me a chance to answer
"You can put your clothes in the closet if you want, and the bathroom is at the end of the hallway. You can take a nap and we will wake you when it's time for dinner "
"Thank you for your help Victor"....
He didn't answer me and before he left he added
"Mr David, don't ever go to the forest specially at night, if you hear any strange voices just ignore them "
Being the inquisitive, nosy person I am, I asked "why shouldn't I go to the forest?What's the problem in it ?"
Victor glared at me "you better not know the answer" , then closed the door.
That was weird but i didn't give it another thought, maybe that's one of the rules the kids have been told not to break.
I decided to change and take a short nap.
