Somewhere else
I slept quite uncomfortable with the chain on. Everytime I moved it made noise. My brother got so tired of it that he gave up on sleeping.
I then noticed that Pitt wasn't here.
I smiled in my luckyness.
I yawned as the birds started to sing their annoying songs.
My thirst was killing me so I decided to drink from this small puddle.
As I drank I heard someone coming.
"WHAT DID I TELL YOU!" The new master yelled. I was able to see Pitt. His face was covered of blood and bruises. His eyes were red. He looked beaten.
I wondered how he got that.
The man tied him in his chain and left him there. Pitt groaned in tiredness when he saw us.
'Do you have any idea what happened to him?'
I twinned Sunny.
'mmm, no,'
he answered back.
Pitt had a hard time breathing.
"Pups,"
He started,
"Promise me this will never happen to you,"
He coughed making him struggle in breathing.
"What happened to you?" Sunny asked.
"You dont need to know more," he hissed in the pain of his cuts.
I gulped.
I was getting scared.
The man came again but he was talking on his phone.
"No! He's too weak! He can't take another round!" He looked stressed.
"WHAT! I HAD HIM FOR YEARS! I CANT JUST GIVE UP ON HIM!"
He looked over to pitt.
"THIS IS MY LIFE JOB! WHERE ELSE COULD I WORK AT?"
I hid behind Sunny as the man's voice increased in volume.
"WHERE ELSE COULD I FIND OTHER DOGS!"
Thats when he eyed us.
"You know what? Fine. But it will be 50 bucks. And it better be a quick one and painless one."
He hanged up and got Pitt's leash.
He came over to us.
Sunny growled at the man almost barking.
"Shut up, mutt."
He got us both and put us in a box with holes.
"Not a cage again!" Sunny gasped.
"Sunny! calm down! Its not a cage, its a box."
Sunny growled.
"I hate closed spaces."
He started panicking.
"Im sure it wont be long," I tried to sooth him.
He stayed quiet.
"My only hope is that he takes us somewhere safe atleast."
