Blood Winter
Blood Winter

White snowflakes fell on Miranda's hair. They looked as if Frost himself sculpted them. The girl was just walking along the country road, listening to her favorite song on the headphones. With each step she fell to her knees in the snow. She walked with her eyes closed because she knew the road by heart. Every day she passed this way, among the tall trees. She always felt like one of them was about to fall over her and kill her. She did not want to die. Not now. Not today. However, she felt subconsciously that something bad might happen.

Only a few meters away.

Just a bit more.

I'll just go through the tracks.

That's what she said in her mind. It was approaching the railway ramp. She did not pull off the headphones. Then she did not know it was a mistake. Just when she put her foot on the rails, a speeding train will appear next to her. She only turned her head and pulled off the headphones. At the edge of the forest came a shrill cry that stopped after a moment.
Miranda collapsed on the snow-white tablecloth, and her scarlet blood spattered on him, leaving red patches. Her blood drained from her face. Her heart stopped beating. The train stopped with a screech of wheels. The terrified driver ran to the crime scene.

However, he did not find a body there.

Only the rose remained.

Miranda's body took Death.
