PANNI VETTA
Dense forest.
Shiva, a well built man, wearing a black sleeve less t-shirt and pink lungi is chasing a pig. The pig, grunting and squealing runs through the bushes, crosses the lake, climbs a mountain but, Shiva continues chasing it. After hours of chasing, the pig ran into a big stone wall. The pig was trapped between the wall and Shiva. He takes out his machete carved from a single stone and jumps towards the pig. But, when he raises his machete to stab the pig, Rajeev, a muscular man with short black hair, wearing a brown colored lungi tackles him. They both rolls on the ground fighting each other.
Rajeev sits over Shiva by pressing his knee over his chest. Shiva looks to his left and see the pig running away from him. He see the pig disappear in front of his eyes.
Shiva
(throws away the machete)
"वो गया, अब उठ मेरे उप्पर से। "
Rajeev stands up and sticks out his hand to help Shiva get up. Shiva ignores him and stands up on his own.
Rajeev
(picks up Shiva's machete)
"शिवा, वो मादा है। इसलिए में ने तुझे रोका। "
Shiva
(takes the machete from Rajeev).
" वो मेरे और मेरे लोगों का आज का खाना था। "
Rajeev
"इस जंगल का एक नियम है..."
Shiva
(shouts)
"भाड़ में जाएँ नियम। "
Shiva
(cont'd)
"जब भगवान अपने को ऐसा बनाया है, तो इस लोगों का में क्यु सुनूँ। है तो में, तू और वो सब जंगली ही... मारो, खाओ, सोजाओ... यही तो है अपना जिंदगी। "
Rajeev
" औरत, जानवर हो या इन्सान..... दोनों भगवान है।"
Shiva
(angrily)
" और वोह भगवान मेरे पैरों के नीचे रेहता है .. "
Shiva pushes Rajeev and walks away, deep into the forest.

A Rainy day.
A man, wearing a tight trouser which barely reaches his ankle, is waiting in a shed made of dry coconut leaves. He is carrying a cloth bag. He takes out a pocket knife from his pants pocket and hides it inside the bag. Walking out of the shed, he looks to his right. The long roads with tress on both sides is covered with dark clouds. The sweet smell of mud covers his body and makes him forget his pain. Though he couldn't see the bus, he could hear the loud horns coming closer to him.
Few seconds later, he saw the bus. A white bus, with saffron cloths tied on it's windows. The man, sticks out his hand and waves at the bus. He could hear the prayers get louder and louder as the bus reached closer to him.
'Om Hara Hara,
Om Shiva Shiva,
Om Hara Hara,
Om Shiva Shiva.
Hara Hara Shiva Shankara,
Shiva Shiva Shiva Shankara,
Hara Hara Shiva Shankaraaaaa,
Kashinathaaaa.'
The bus stops near in front of him. He looks inside the bus and all he could see was a bunch old men wearing saffron shirts and sitting on the seats.
A bald old man with white long beard opens the door.
Old man
"Come, get in."
The man hesitated.
Old man
"Don't worry. We all are like you."
The man gets in the bus.
The old man
(by keeping his bag under the seat)
"Sit here."
The man sits on the seat and keeps the cloth bag on the laps.
The old man
"You are already carrying a lot of burden. Atleast let your lap rest for some time."
The man smiles and keeps his bag down.
The old man
"What is your name?"
The man
"Shiva."
