Chapter 5
Few days later.
At a party organized by the Godman Family.
-Godman family runs a steel manufacturing industry, Godman Family pvt. Ltd. But, in reality they run a big drug cartel. They control drugs supplies in Mexico, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Mr. Patrick Godman, the eldest member of the family runs this cartel with his son, Neil Godman.
Randalf and Arvind attended the party. During the party, Arvind saw Travis talking to Neil Patrick. He went to Travis.
Arvind "I want to talk. "
Arvind and Travis went to the corner of the hall.
Travis "You seem happy. "
Arvind [chuckles ] "I'm going through the best moments of my life. "
Travis "It won't last long. You are in hell and sooner or later, it will consume you. "
Arvind "I know. If you help me, I will leave that hell. "
Travis "It's impossible. "
Arvind [taking a sip of his drink] "It's possible. But the chances are... very, very less. "
Arvind cont'd "But I'll take that risk for Samantha. "
Randalf interrupted them.
Randalf "Hello officer. "
Randalf "How's the investigation going? "
Travis [laughs] "Going good. "
Randalf "Okay. "
Arvind and Randalf left the party.
Later that night.
Arvind texted Randalf.
Arvind [texted] "I want to meet you tomorrow. "
Randalf [replied ] "Okay. Come to the port at twelve. "
Arvind kept his cellphone on the table. He sat on the couch with a beer bottle in his hand. He was dreaming about the beautiful life he will live with his daughter, after he leaves the crime world.
Next day.
At the port.
Randalf and Arvind were standing near dock no. 09.
Arvind "I want to tell you something. "
Randalf "Say. "
Arvind "I want to stop it. "
Arvind [exhales] "I want to leave this job. "
Randalf laughs.
Arvind [controlling his anger] "I'm serious. "
Randalf [lighting a cigarette ] "Years ago, you made this decision and you know what happened. "
Randalf cont'd "You lost your wife and your daughter. "
Arvind "But... "
Randalf [interrupted] "let me finish. "
Randalf cont'd "It's blood in and blood out. You can go out, you can leave us but, that will happen only when you are dead. "
Arvind [loudly ] "I don't care if I die. But before my death, I'll kill everyone who stand against me."
Randalf "That happens only in movies. Don't act like a protagonist. "
Randalf cont'd "Your friendship with Travis is ruining you. He's pulling you back. "
Arvind "No. No one controls me, I know what I'm doing. "
Randalf [pushes Arvind on the wall ] "You know nothing. You leave us, you'll be dead. "
Arvind [angrily ] "Are you going to stop me? "
Randalf "No I won't. I'm your friend. "
Arvind "If you are my friend, don't call me for work again. "
Randalf "Okay. But don't call me for help. "
Arvind leaves the port.
Randalf phonecalled Drew.
Randalf "Keep a watch on Arvind. "
Drew "Why? "
Randalf [angrily] "I pay you, to do my job. My fucking job. Don't ask questions. "
Drew "Okay. "
Randalf [angrily] "Now put you ass on him. "
