SLICE: A piece that was forced fit into a puzzle in the past.
A Jam-Packed Auditorium
A man in a black tuxedo is addressing the crowd. There is a video clip of Haiti Earthquake playing behind him. He pause the video at Ms. Angeline Gregory and slowly walked towards the lectern and started speaking.
-HAITI EARTHQUAKE:
“Mostly considered as a natural disaster but, is it really true?” was the last words said by the acclaimed Investigation Journalist Angelina Gregory.
She went missing within twenty four hours after she made this statement and her cold mutated body was found dumped inside the walls of Axel Techno Ltd. –
The man pushes the play button and the video plays a slideshow of newspaper cuttings and screenshots of online news about Angelina’s death. He pause the video again.
-You can pretend to be invisible, hide under the veil. But one day, there will be someone to lift that veil up.
There is no doubt Haiti earthquake was a man-made disaster. Even the USGS couldn’t predict it. So, there is machine powerful enough to destroy an entire country. Haiti Earthquake was nothing but, a Misuse of such technology, which was born inside the dirtiest mind. And that technology cost us 2,50,000 lives , or may be more. –
After the end of his speech, the man walked out of the stage. His manager came running towards him, carrying a notepad.
The both sit in his Audi Spyder.
Manager (by showing photos of Alex, a prisoner serving his death row)
“Issaq, I think he will be perfect fit for our job.”
ISSAQ (reads the short description of Alex’s case)
“He’ll be executed next week. You might need to pull some hard strings.”
MANAGER
“Already working on it. He’ll be ours.”
