The Story of Mrs. L.
Quite a long time ago, a couple of hundred years ago, in the city of N, there lived a beautiful girl - Mrs. L.
She was not rich and lived in a small house with a couple of servants. Despite her position in society, she was very kind to her servants, she gave them prizes for good service, and it was rare when she punished them, she was never attached to them, although they loved her in a way that no one else would have loved.
Mrs. L. hated those who did not believe in her stories about a prosperous future, but if they worked, she punished such people with the most terrible, harsh work, which exhausted people to the limit, and sometimes made ends meet with them.
The girl herself could not be called human, she was too beautiful for this image of guided creatures, she was intelligent and severe, for which she was revered by all her neighbors. A stern, iron lady, people had the impression of her as something unattainable, impossible. Everyone tried to repeat after L., but no one could not get such purity, tenderness.
