Epilogue
Ameldone was a fairly small town with all the necessities an adult could want and most wants a child could enjoy. There was one of everything; a mall, a gym, a firm, an ice cream shop, a kindergarten, high-school and university placed like brothers-in-arms.
Even a convenience store that had a suspiciously big ball pit was conveniently placed close to the Hylype house. This way, little Hylype, as her parents call her, or Jenipher, could meet up with her friends over milkshakes or slushies during the summer or her free time.
Jenny turned five three months ago and is therefore big enough to cross the road to go buy groceries, but she doesn't go often because she thinks someone is watching her (her mum). She told her mum and she said that, to be safe, she should always be by an adult she could trust. She immediately went to ask her dad. He told her the truth before Mrs. Hylype could get upstairs. Safe to say the unfortunate guy slept on the couch for a while.
There was no need for more than one radio station. Not much happened really. The radio host would start at 5 in the morning with a really loud "Good Morning!" (which explains why almost the whole town prefers the radio to the TV) and moves on to enlighten his fans on the "exciting new news; only in Ameldone". If there was nothing new, he would repeat what he said the day before.
Poor old man Dan. Three years ago, old man Dan had a stroke and developed amnesia. Ever since then he would wake up the next day with no recollection of the last. That explains his overall excitement when going to the station every single day. Mrs. Judy has it worse though, because as his wife, she has to remind him that he's married everyday! It's just heartbreaking.
The towns people are really supportive and always invite them to parties. Mrs. Judy gets to relax and enjoy herself while some of the partiers converse with Mr. Dan who is almost eternally cheerful.
