Chapter 1: Kai meet's Motome...
Kai Hachiro was walking down sidewalks of japan. Cherry blossom trees surrounding the area with beautiful pink blossoms. No where can you see the sun or the moon with so many blossoms. Kai was walking to his secret hideout. He was walking up a steep hill to finally see the sun rise and saw a mysterious figure standing there. She/He turned around to see what all the rustingling was about and saw Kai and ran. Kai thought it was weird but he just shook it off ,like his careless self would do, and ate his bread. “Kai Hachiro! Get your butt down here and help us move these boxes of cargo!” His mom, Sakura Hachiro, Yelled from down the hill. “Mom! Shush!”He said sliding down the hill almost faceplanting. “Listen young man, Don’t tell me to hush! And also here. I made you your favorite lunch.” She was handing him his bag as his friends walked by. “Hey! Kai! Come on dude!” One of his friends yelled. “Yeah Yeah Hang on a second” He said grabbing his book bag and kissing his mom on the cheek. “sigh...Ever since his dad passed he has been blocked off from others.” She talked to herself.
At Kai’s School
“Alright class! Today we have a new student that joined the class. She has been in the independent classes so most of you haven’t seen her at all. Her name is Motome Asaji. Come on in Motome.” A girl with long black hair walked in nervously but bravely. “H-Hi… I’m Motome Asaji. But please just call me Moto or anything you like.” She said looking up. “Hm...She looks a little familiar…”Kai thought. “Alrighty...Moto...Sit next to...Kai.” She said pointing to Kai. His spiky hair and his green eyes stuck out compared to everyone. He raised his hand not even looking up from his homework he was rushing to do. “Yes ma’am” Motome said sitting down next to him. “Oh my gosh she smells so good...oh...that sounds when I think it then...think it....” Kai thought.
“Hi...Sorry but um...What’s the teacher’s name…”She asked him. “Oh! Sorry I’m working...Her name is Mrs.Ashida.” Kai said forgetting how loud he was talking. “Excuse me Kai. Why are you talking so loud?” Mrs.Ashida asked him. “I-Uh… I was helping Motome oh uh moto.” He exclaimed. “Ok! Let’s Get back to our lesson.” She continued. “Why did she it me next to the guy I saw on the hill...Maybe he wouldn’t notice. Ugh...But what if he does...AHH!I’m so bad at lying!”Moto was thinking and making weird faces. “Hey are you ok?” Kai placed his hand on her shoulder which sent a shiver up moto’s spine making her blush. “UH...YEAH!” She screamed whispered. “Ok,You were looking confused” Kai said removing his hand off her shoulder and continued taking notes.
At Lunch…
“Dang it! All My friends are on a field trip. I guess I’ll sit at my table lonely” He said crying inside. Then He saw the girl ,Moto, sitting all alone. He looked around and saw a lot of people gone because everyone went to the field trip. “Good almost nobody will see me....” He went to go sit by the girl. “Hey mind if I sit?” Kai asked smiling,trying not to be creepy. “S-sure.” She said ok moving here drawing stuff. “Hey! You draw too!” He grabbed his little sketchbook. “Yeah! Do you want to see?” She asked handing him her large sketchbook as he handed his to her. “Wow these are so good.” He looked at one that was a guy with an archer outfit. “Thanks! These are so good too!” She stared at one with a girl with a short dress to about the knees and with straps for daggers and swords in the back and cross straps in the front. “Can I take a picture?”She asked. “Sure. Can I?” Kai asked. “YUP!” They took pictures of each other’s picture. “I’m totally going to make this!” They both thought. “Hey...Um I have A question. I thought you looked familiar...Were you at a hill this morning?” Kai asked. “Um…”She Held her breath. “Yeah…”She gave up. “I knew it!” He said and fell backwards and landed with a THUD! “OMG ARE YOU ALRIGHT!” She said as he got up and scratched the back of his head. “Yup I do that all the time” He laughed. “You know what. I like you.” She said. ‘WHAT!” He blushed like a tomato. “Calm down crazy! I said I like you… as a friend...silly”She giggled. “Oh...I knew that!” He said puffing his cheeks and looking away. “Silly,anyways what do you have in your lunch?” She asked curious as she pulled out some sushi and some Mochi (Japanese Dessert). “Oh! I have my favorite lunch. It’s a family recipe. My dad made it before he passed...Want some?” He said giving her some. She tried some and was amazed. “OMG SOOOO GOOD! Oh...and if you don’t mind me speaking of it...how did your dad die?” She said a continued eating and sharing things they had. “Oh...Well...He died while in the navy.”He exclaimed. “Oh I’m so sorry to hear that.” She said thinking that she probably shouldn’t have asked. “Oh no it’s fine it happened,like,3 years ago. Besides he died for a good cause.” He said grabbing his trash and throwing it away. *DING DONG* The bell rang and they went to class. The last class of the day. “Ah” Kai sighed in relief and put his hands behind his head and leaned back and continued walking. “Your going to fall backwards like that Kai” She said giggling. “I know what I’m doing” He smirked. “Ok!”She said sarcastically. “Hey do you want to visit my-well my family’s store?” He asked putting my arms down. “No sorry my parents are strict when it comes to work “no slack unless your packed” which basically means unless you backed to go no staying back. It’s hard to explain. “ She said. “gosh she sounds so sad that she can’t come.” Kai thought. “Hey, meet me at the hill later when your done. Here just text me” Kai quickly wrote down his number and handed to her. “Thanks and i’ll try.” She said running off waving. “Bye!” She yelled. “Bye!” Kai ran too. “Hey mom!” He took off his shoes by the front door like he is supposed to and grabbed a apple and went upstairs to his room. “Hey! Kai! come here please” Sakura yelled from downstairs. He did as he was told and was surprised when his mom felt his forehead. “What?” He said as his mom was eyeing him. “What are you trying to suck up for?” He was surprised. “What do you mean?!” He said confused. “Your acting good. What happened?” She still eyed him.”Nothing! I just had a good day!”He said waving his arms in a “X” Formation. “Ok you’re free to go. Love you” She hugged him and he was off to homework.
At Kai’s School
