An unexpected email from the newspaper.
After yesterday's incident, I was feeling no good. Next thing which made my mood get worser, was an email from a newspaper where I work. "Hello miss Melanie, I'm writing you this letter to remind you that you have been absent from work for 3 days. Please come for a serious meeting ASAP" My heart started beating faster. I realised that while I was busy solving my family issues, I've completely forgotten about my job. If boss said, that it's important, that means it's something serious. OMG. Is he gonna scold me for missing from job or even worse, is he gonna dismiss me?? Cold sweat covered my body. I decided to go to work today itself. I prepared and jumped out of the house with millions of thoughts racing in in my head. My phone started to ring, I picked up and heard Mary's voice. "Hi dear, how are you doing?". "Oh, Mary, you won't believe. Last time when I was leaving the house, I forgot to lock the main door and after coming back, I saw the door open wide and all the clothes were scattered down. It turned out to be Richard, who has done that. He came to take his luggage and saw the door open so he came inside. And imagine, he was talking with me in such a way, as if I am his servant or something! He was calm but his words were hurtful and offensive. I hardly controlled myself. At last, I yelled at him and he went out. But before leaving, he had the courage to say that it's his house too and thereby is reminding me that I'm not the hostess of the house". Actually I expected Mary to scream out something like Oh my poor girl, how could he do that to you, but in reality I received absolute tranquility. Mary's voice reflected complete calmness. She uttered "It's alright, Melanie. He is gonna pay for his words. Could you do what I said?" "No Mary, Richard destroyed our plan. But I will try my best to do what you said next time I meet him". After this, we said good-bye and I, in great agitation almost reached my work.
