Concepts--

Lynur meaning “original spirits”

The original spirits are divided into two groups

The Vínur and the Drínur

Nur means spirit, Ne means warrior, Ly means original, Ví means light and Drí means dark.

So Nenur literally means warrior spirit.

The Vínur are considered the good gods while the Drínur are considered the bad gods.

Each god has their own world which are all located in Q’lur the realm or home of the gods which is separate from Pydum the home of mortals.

All the original spirits are capable of using extremely powerful magick but it was Nelnos who allowed magick to flow in Pydum.

The other Lynur despise Nelnos for his decision because he has allowed mortals to tread on the paths of gods and that is a path simply not meant for mortals

The word Wizard derives from the language of the Lynur and it means “god path walker” though there are very few Wizards. In order for one to obtain the title of Wizard they must have mastery over every discipline in magick; a task which takes many lifetimes or more. All wizards are the original students of Nelnos.

All Wizards thin the line between man and god but the most powerful of the Wizards is Alvis Stormgrim. He is so powerful that through his unparalleled mastery of restoration magick he can bring back the dead in perfect condition and he was also gifted a gem of power by Nelnos which is capable of sustaining his old age for thousands of years (he cannot make himself appear young but he can move with the agility of a 30 year old man) but also amplify his physical and magickal power. The limits of his power were tested when he fought Fae; Alvis did lose but he managed to hold of a Valkyrie for a significant amount of time, enough time for Nenur to appear and finish off Fae and banish her from Pydum for eternity.

Demons- Demons are primordial spirits that were created by the Lynur shortly before the creation of Pydum. These creatures are amongst the oldest and most powerful, the strongest of demons can match the strongest of Uss'tari blow for blow, although there are very few such demons. Originally meant to be the guardians of Pydum, the demons instead turned into one of Pydums most feared and powerful enemies.

Souls- souls are the spirits of mortals such as humans, elves, and nightshades, etc. The most powerful of souls are called Djinn and are nearly capable of rivaling the strongest of demons. Souls are contained in shells called bodies. Mortal spirits are not immortal and cannot manifest in a physical form. The power a mortal has through magick or other means doesn't relate to the power of the soul.

Ascended souls- Souls that were granted immortality and a boost in power by the Goddess Skylar. These souls are rare because a mortal must prove their worth in life and in the afterlife, if they succeed Skylar will reward them immortality and the ability to manifest a physical form.

Elves- Elves are beings created by Tybus, crafted from tree bark. Elves are the only mortals with an eternal life span. The elves live in the far of land of M’lia, the second largest continent. The elves possesse skin made of smooth wood, with hair made of silk like vines and piercing green eyes like emeralds. The oldest of the elves are called the Great Elves. The Great Elves rule over the rest of the elven people. Each Great Elf has their own kingdom. Due to their Eternal life spans, elves tend to be the experts or masters in most everything. Of the 20 Wizards in existence 12 of them are elves. Elves have the most sophisticated weapons and armors out of all the other races, with elven armors having one pair of artificial wings allowing elves to roam the skies and giving them a major advantage in the battle field.

Orcs- Orcs were created by Valmak and most of them live in the world of the Deadlands, while many of them reside in the lingering towers guarding and awaiting Valmaks return. They are massive in size ranging from 10 to 13 feet tall, with naturally brute bodies.

Humans- Humans were created by Istus and are the dominant creature in El’da the largest continent in Pydum. Humans are the fairest of all creatures, and were made in the image of the gods. Humans are the eldest mortal race. Humans with a Vardisian lineage have pointed ears and a much longer life span. Generally creatures of vast beauty and wisdom and courage.

Half Bloods- Half Bloods is the name giving to those with parents of different species. Half Bloods include half human half elves(Étaldí), half orcs and half human(Orinum), and half elves and half orcs(Ávínus). Half Bloods tend to have the strengths of their parents but none of their weaknesses.

Vampires- Vampires are rare Half Bloods with Orc and Nightshade parents. Vampires are born with an innate magickal abilities which they inherit from their Nightshade parent as well as immense strength inherited by their Orc parent but Vampires possess a greater degree of power both physically and magickally then both their parents. Vampires are rare because the vast majority of Vampire children die in the womb of the mother.

Nargur- Nargur are living elemental representations, such as air, rock, fire, water, lightning, and flora. They all have rock like skin and their element is visible as the skin doesn't cover every part of their bodies. Nargur are the most powerful users of their elements, for example a pyromancer will never out pyro a fire Nargur, with the only exceptions being gods but even gods have a hard time with the Nargur.

Uss’tari- Uss’tari are any primordial spirits that aren't a demon or a god. Such as the Valkyries of The Elysian Plane who serve the Goddess Nenur. They are diverse not only in appearance but also in power, the weakest of the Uss’tari are barely able to hold their own against humans while the strongest are second in power to the gods and goddesses. Valkyries are amongst the most powerful of Uss'tari. Although most peoples consider them to be lesser gods.

Fairies- Fairies are protectors of the natural world, such as forests, animals, sentient creatures, preservers of magick, and opposers of demons. Fairies vary in power but they are mostly around the magickal prowess of wizards and are as strong as 10 men. They are primarily spirits but can take on the form of flesh just like Gods and Uss’tari and Demons, they also have beautiful and large wings. Fairies are also about the size of an average great elf (8ft).

Dark fairies- These fairies were corrupted by Valmak into his service. Some of these fairies are more powerful than regular fairies because they have been imbued with some of Valmak’s power.

Pixies- Pixies are small spirits that watch over children. They appear invisible to adults but can be seen in their full glory by children. Pixies help children develop and assist them with many task and provide helpful wisdom. Once a child grows into an adult the Pixie leaves that person and is then assigned to another child by the queen of the Pixies named Magna Frostwhisk who is also the first Pixie. Pixies cannot be corrupted because of their immense sheer will and their go happy attitude. Pixies aren't to be taken lightly they've killed dragons and demons before in defense of a child.

Nightshade- Nightshades are humans who have been corrupted by Valmak and serve him unquestionably. These humans are exceptionally powerful in the dark arts. Their bodies have also been morphed and they have terribly long and sharp claws, pitch black eyes, skin that shines like silver, and reddish black veins that protruded from the skin.

Dragons- Dragons are the very first corporeal creatures and the second things to be created. They are younger than demons but older than everything else.

Demigod- Gods that have stayed in Pydum for too long and have gradually lost divinity. There are currently two demigods Nenur and Valmak. Demigods are still very powerful and can even overpower wizards when using a staff due their sheer knowledge of magick. If a demigod returns to Q’lur then they will instantly retain their lost divinity. The difference in power between a god who has been in Pydum for a second and one who has been in Pydum for one hundred years, is unnoticeable, meaning that a god needs to stay in Pydum for thousands upon thousands of years in order to lose noticeable power. Nenur has been in Pydum by choice ever since its creation, while Valmak was cast into Pydum and sealed there not long after the “corruption” of demons. Meaning Valmak is more powerful than Nenur.
