Being 'Okay' And Being 'Happy'
Різне, Думки вголос, Цікаве
The thing about being 'Okay', is that it is not the same as being 'Happy'. In fact, being 'Happy' and being 'Okay' are two parallel lines. Although both parties have too much similarities, they still do not meet, they still at the end of the day are not one.
Being 'Okay' is the gray space that lies in-between the white and black. It is not peace, nor is it the darkness that lies beneath. Being 'Okay' is the state of mind where you are desperately in the need to jump straight down to your limit and eventually break down and the point where you are finally over the bullshit and are gladly willing to move on with your life just the way you were supposed to at the very beginning. Being 'Okay' is when you can smile and laugh, even joke around a little bit. But that does not necessarily mean you are happy, because being 'Happy' is not like that.
Being 'Happy' is not when you are all excited about life and such. Being 'Happy' It is not when you laugh so much that your stomach hurts and tears start to flow out. No, being 'Happy' is before all of that. Being 'Happy' is when you are in the process of realizing the fact that this came to an end, it is when you are standing there all alone wondering in your happy thoughts, then right after that you laugh. Yes, it would be happy, but the most of it did not actually come out happiness. In fact, this was the feeling of relief overwhelming you. It suddenly felt like you can finally breath straight down into your lungs, then smoothly knock them out. It felt like that heaviness that was stuck inside your chest and right above your heart has disappeared for good. And for the very first time you thought you can laugh. This is 'Happy' not 'Okay'.
Being 'Okay' is the feeling of calmness that lies in-between your light and darkness, being 'Happy' is the feeling of relief that you have finally overcome the catastrophes you have been through, it's the realization that you actually were willing to do it, that you can, and that you will. This is why you should remember, asking someone if they are okay does not have the same meaning that it used to have the day before. So if you ever want to ask about that certain someone, never ask them if they're okay, but ask them if they are happy. Trust me, asking a someone if they are happy has a deeper meaning to people than you'll ever think.
