Mama....you told me to be careful of the people outside. You told me to dress properly because of the strangers eyes. Why? Why didn't you tell me I had to be more careful of the people beside? Those that claim to love me but see with lusty eyes. I was an innocent 9 year old when he slid his hands around me telling me that it was love. I remember being afraid to go near him again. But when I told you, u didn't believe me. Why? I saw him touch my baby sister and I slapped him. I'm sorry dad, but I don't think all elders deserve respect. I saw him molest my cousin sister and I have had enough. There are still more vulnerable little girls and boys who will fall as your prey. I knew I had to be the one or else nobody else would. So I slapped him, screamed at him and had my sisters back me. Turns out, we weren't the only silent victims. I remember how your eyes lost life dad, but it's not your fault. I saw how you kept regretting m, but I can understand you. And thank you for giving me the permission, because next time I see something like this, I won't stay quite. So don't question me why I don't feel comfortable with sharing my picture and with being touched. You don't know the past I hold. If you can't respect my soul, then don't even thing about looking at my body. This is for both the boys and girls. No one has to stay silent.
