CHAPTER ONE
In a small village lives an elf whose name is Alyndra, she has a long amber hair that shines under the sunlight and a pair of matching amber eyes that makes everyone falls in love. She is the heart of Heartvale. She's the daughter of a kind warlock, Atherton Calarook. Lyn loves to cheer everybody that she sees and that makes people enjoy her presence.

With a small wicker basket rests on her right arm, she shouts to her mother, "I'm going to the market, mama!" And walks out of the cottage where her family and of course she herself lives. Every day, she looks forward to meet all her friends she makes at the market located at the centre of Heartvale.

As soon as she reaches the market, everyone that knows her greets the most cheerful elf in the village. "Good morning, Lyn!" Shouts a butcher who's holding his big knife. "Good morning, Mr. Morsandoral!" She shouts back with a smile tugs at her lips. She continues walking and then a costermonger yells to her, "Hello there, Alyn!". "Hello, Mr. Yeljyre!" She waves her hand towards him.

After a few hi-s and hello-s here and there, she finally decides to stop at the furrier's shop. "Hi, Mr. Fawenys!" She greets, hands resting on the oak counter. "Hi, Alyndra." He is the only person who calls her by full name but nonetheless he gets the same place in her heart, no lower and no higher than others.

"Need some fur for winter that is coming?"

"Yes," she nods eagerly. The winter is coming in a few more weeks and she's excited for it. As much as she loves winter, she hates the fact that she can't come here as often as she used to which is daily. The market will be opened once or twice a week- just enough to supply the villagers with food during the season.

"Here," Mr. Fawenys shoved three fur coats into her hands. He knows very well what their sizes are since she has been buying coats from him for 18 years. "Thank you, Mr. Fawenys," she grinned and hands him the money before stepping out of his small shop.

"Okay, now I have the fur, all I need left is food for the week," she muttered to herself and began strolling to her next destination.

"Merlara," hushed Lyn. Her eyes snapped up towards Lyn and a smile makes its way to Merlara's face. "Yes, milady," said she. "Stop it, Merlara. I am no milady," Lyn hassled, her cheeks flushed red. "You are, Lyn, you make everyone happy, you are a great lady in the village dear. So, what can I help you today?"

"Thanks, Merlara. Can I have leeks, onions, potatoes, carrots and chives?"

"Sure hun, is Zaleria making butternut and apple harvest soup?" Asked her.

"Yes, do you want some? I'll give it to you when I am on my way to meet Chandrelle," she suggested.

"Thank you so much my dear." Merlara's heart touched by the girl's kindness, she isn't one of the girls who loves to drool over a young man, she loves to help people and be friends with every elf in this small town despite their age.

She walks towards Mr. Morsandoral's meat market to purchase some meat for a meat stew her mama's going to make. "Hi Elaith," Lyn called to the butcher's son. "Oh, hi Lyn," he said once he acknowledged her existence. "Are you busy? I haven't seen you in such a long time," she tried to make a conversation, she hasn't talked to him for quite some time- the last time was on her 15th birthday.

"Yeah, I need to enhance my magic level with your father," he shrugged. "You went to Milsaqua too?" She's surprised that there's someone who's as young as he could get out of this place. She wants to take a peek outside too. "Yeah. You're here for beef?" He knows her way too well, conceivably due to the matter that she had never bought any meat else than beef. Well, whatever.

"Yes, please Mr. Morsandoral," she giggled while Elaith just smirks.

"Honey, who is it?" A lovely voice chimed in their small talk. A little moment later, a beautiful figure with small baby bump come out of a house behind- elves here love to sell close to their home so that they can take care of whoever in there such as their wife and babies. It's a coincidence that all the seller lives in a same spot, either beside each other or just a few blocks away.

"Hello there," the lady said. "Hello," Lyn reached out her hand towards the lady and put on the best smile, "I'm Alyndra," said Lyn. "Amkissra, Elaith's wife and this is Ruardh, our son," she then gestured towards her left to a cute boy around 2 years old. "Oh, I didn't notice that you're married Elaith, I'm sorry for my behaviour earlier," Lyn bowed her head a little in apologize manner.

"It is fine, you're such a bubbly girl that makes people's day," he reassured. "Thank you for the compliment, sir," she grinned and took the beef that had been sliced nicely. A little hand waves indicated against the new family before she turns on her heels and makes her way home.

"I'm back, mama," shouted Lyn. "Oh Alyndra, what takes you so long buying those groceries," her mama demanded. She dropped the wicker basket on the kitchen island and took a seat on a wooden stool, "There were a lot of things happened today, mama," replied she. "Is that so? I'm sorry I didn't know," apologized Zaleria, shamed by her demands prior.

"It is fine, mama. I've got good news for you," she took her mama's hand and pulled her to sit on the stool opposite hers. "Tell me."

"Elaith, the butcher's son is now married," she informed happily. "Oh my, I didn't foresee that coming. I should probably visit them soon," Zaleria covers her mouth, cursing herself in her mind.

Elves here are very thoughtful, amiable and polite. They get embarrassed easily though it just a tiny affair.

"Yeah, you should, mama. I have flustered myself back then, I was awestruck when a pregnant lady came out if his house while we were having a small talk at the same time when I thought about having him as a husband," Lyn blushes. "Aw honey, it's okay, you'll have a better one," cheered her mama, "your papa is back, go greet him."

Lyn jumps off her seat and runs to an oak door leads to her father's office. "Papa," she peeps into a small gap of the open door. "Come in, munchkin," Mr. Calarook pointed to a seat across him, on the other side of the table. Lyn opens the door widely to let herself in and closed it back when she's fully inside.

"How are you papa?" She asked full of concern on her father who hasn't come home for 3 years in a row until now. "Very well, munchkin," just hearing his replies made Lyn's day better. "I missed you," she frankly admitted. "Me too, munchkin, me too," he cupped Lyn's face in his hands.

"I've got some good news for you," said her father with a big smile glued on his handsome face. "Tell me," ushered Alyndra apprehensively. "You're going to get married," booms Atherton. She's dumbfounded, but then a small smile makes its way on her lips. "And," continues her father, "another good news is, you're going to marry him this winter," said him. People don't know how happy she is that moment. Arranged marriage is a normal thing in elves' world, and ladies can get married as early as they reached their 16th birthday.
