crystal looked down at my plate and raised her eyebrows at me."thats alot of chocolate..." she said finally. I looked at my plate also. it had chocolate milk, chocolate cake, {sugar free most likely.} a chocolate bar i brought from home, chicken tenders and an apple. "chocolate is good. it tastes good and it makes you feel good." i said in response to her eyebrow raise. I sat down my plate and used my arms to explain my words with more effect to prove my point. i guess i was talking loud but who cares, i know i don't. "calm down, jeez." she rolled her eyes playfully. "chocolate is the best thing in the world, ok? no question about that!"  crystal smiled.  i thought she was mocking me, so i continued to explain to her how good chocolate was. i was going to prove my point.I went on and on until finally crystal failed to keep her laughs in and her face started to turn red." what!? what is so funny that your face turns red!?" she kept laughing, not answering  my question. i felt his presence before he spoke." did you know that at my old school my nickname was chocolate. i guess i'm the best thing in the world then." he whispered in  y ear, but crystal also heard. i jumped and turned around to see michael behind me smirking. oh god. he must've heard everything. i could feel my cheeks heat up and turn red. he smirked more at this and a devilish look appeared in his eyes that burned right through me."well.....uh.....you know.......nevermind....." i muttered under my breath. He laughed. I tensed and the devilish look in his eyes got stronger.Now I'm afraid of what he I going to do now....even though I thought to myself about what he said. I wondered if he was as good as chocolate or if he was better......god dammit! stop it with these thoughts!.....he wouldn't want you anyways....." you're really something jasmine, I just can't put my finger on it. you  are as mysterious as you are cute...." I was shocked to hear him say that.....first I was mysterious then I was cute.....my cheeks burned even more." what do you mean by 'something'?" finger quotes around something. " well you are unlike any other girl I met. you're special and special in a way" when he said that crystal looked surprised then smirked. I'm pretty sure I had a dumbstruck look on my face. I didn't say anything. god this is so embarrassing. we stood there in awkward silence while crystal tried to hold in her laughs. I'm just failing at this new boy game....new boy-1, me-0. after a few more minutes, she busted out laughing then Michael joined her and I just stood there staring at my feet, regretting even more coming to school or even waking up.they laughed a little bit longer then stopped, unable to breathe." are you ok, Jasmine?" i heard the worry in his voice as he finally noticed I wasn't laughing." yeah, just embarrassed...." I muttered."oh well you shouldn't be, it was just a joke!"
"I......don't.....do jokes...."still muttering and looking at my feet. when I looked up at michael, to see his face and he just looked surprised and speechless."so....umm.....michael how was your first day?" crystal asked to ease the tension."pretty good. fine, I guess you could say." the look on his face gone. you can always count on crystal to change subjects...." oh and jasmine, I forgot to mention...I wanted to say thank you for stopping amber earlier....so thank you." he said with a first prize smile. "your welcome" I stopped muttering but still looked at my feet. if I looked at him I know I would lose it. that smile and glow in his eyes would make me lose control, I knew it. alas I looked at his face anyways to see his charming smile and I could feel electricity running up and down my body. I'm not gonna be able to control myself longer if he keeps smiling at me like that.
