No one was there, I needed help, any help would do, but didn't really want to ask for help.

"They already think I'm useless, Locking me away was proof enough" I thought as I sat on the end of the tub, I think that's what it's called.

I got curious so I slowly leaned over, I twisted one of the knobs and water came springing out.

I was amazed. Before I stepped in, I found a cloth and even something that smelled good.

I picked the bar that smelled good,  and got under the water. Each hit stung me, it was like ice shooting at me. The cold water hit against my skin causing me to wince at each drop as I started to rub the bar against my skin.

I scrubbed like my life depended on it.

"next time I meet my mother I'll smell just as good as she did"

A smile broke out on my face as I continued to scrub the bar against my bare skin.

From head to toe I washed myself, the water underneath my feet was a murky brown, it didn't look like water anymore.

My hair felt lighter and cleaner, my body felt refreshed as I rinsed myself off, I could smell the difference.

After I climbed out of the oval shaped box I stood in the middle of the floor and grabbed the  cloth  and started wiping the water off of my body.

"Kinda small isn't it?" I wondered as I remembered, I didn't have any clothes.

If on cue the guy from earlier brought me some clothes and stood at the door. He placed them down and watched me as I changed.

I looked at him for a minute before putting the clothes on,after getting dressed I stared at him.

"Why are you staring at me?" I signed.

He pushed me a bit before walking away, I didn't understand but I was to happy from being out of the dark Basement to care.

After getting dressed, I wandered out the washroom into a long corridor, I curiously explored while seeking for my mother.

No matter how long I searched, I couldn't find her. I cut a corner leading me to bump into something hard, I steadied myself before looking up.

My body ran cold as I saw the annoyance on my father's face.

"Sorry" I signed as I stood tall.

"Follow me" he signed, I wasted no time in following him.

"Scary" I thought as I followed him.

"Would he be mad if I asked about mother?" I thought while looking at his large back.

"I never saw him so close before" I thought as my gaze drifted to the floor.

I bumped into my father once more,he suddenly stopped out of no where. He turned to me with fury in his eyes.

"Watch where you're going" he signed angrily.

"I'm sorry, I'll be more careful" I signed before I continued to follow behind him.

"I'll be strong for mother" I thought as my smile returned to my facial features.

A large man was seen in the distance, my father and I was approaching the large man. I could tell my father was having a conversation but I couldn't hear it.

"Were they talking about me?" I questioned myself as I started to watch their mouths.

I couldn't exactly make out the words they were saying, since I didn't grow up around other people.

But My father made it clear,  when he gestured to me.

the large man observed me, like I was some kind of lab experiment.

I felt extremely uncomfortable, but I wanted to prove, I could be just as good as a son and just as obedient.

My father turned to me, and I started to watch his body and hand movement's.

"Go out side, I have business to attend to" he signed while pointing towards the door.

"Outside? I can go outside?" I bounded to the door with no hesitation.

A new world filled with light, it was so new. I was happy and fearful all at the same time.

It was alot of plants and flowers surrounding the place, different fragrances  dances in my nose, I picked a few flowers and smelled them, but someone caught my eye.

A young girl, a girl around my age sat in the garden, with a solemn gaze as she looked up to the sky. She turned her head and gazed at me.

Her eyes bore into my soul, before she tore them away.

"Who is she?" I wondered before making my way to her.

Her black hair was covering her right eye, but Her left eye was as blue as a stormy sky.

"...."

" Her mouth was moving, she was talking to me...what do I do!?" I questioned myself as I started to panic.

"She turned away from me and went back to sky gazing, I didnt want her to know I was deaf, I wanted to get to know her but how?" I thought
