Funeral day
Chapter 2
We arrived at a large building, it was an all white building, with two large stone pillars on the front porch. it had a lovely garden in the front, with alot of graves in the back.
We all entered, people piled in quickly, as we all took our seats, a older man stood before us all.
A sad gaze he wore, his hair was decreasing and gray, he had wrinkles on his forehead as he frowned his brows.
"This is a sad day for us all," he sighed as he spoke.
My mother lowered her head, as she pushed back the tears.
I could tell from her tense posture, that she wanted to leave.
"He was a friend, a husband, a father, he had many titles, and many connections with everyone here, to some he may have even been a teacher," the man inquired as he cleared his throat.
"If you have anything to say, you make come up and say your final goodbyes" he stated before stepping to the side.
Person after person, story after story, many people spoke well of my father.
Of his achievements, his dreams, his hopes and fears, when, when did I become so distant that I didn't know my own parents.
"Why did he, have to die? Was it a punishment to me?" I questioned as I stared at my mother, who stood up.
"I too have something to say, to my beloved" she said as she wiped away a tear.
She walked in front of everyone, and put on a strong smile before speaking.
"He was always trying to help, it didn't matter who you were, if you were in trouble he would try his best to help you, nights when I felt like I could no longer go on, he was always there, helping me, he was my other half, he will forever..." she stopped Midway as she glanced at me.
She froze, as we locked eyes, I was confused from her behavior.
Talia stood up, and took me by the hand.
"Something isn't right," I murmured as I quickly ran out the funeral home.
"Fred!" She shouted as I was about to exit the door.
I froze, my body trembled as my mother replaced my image with my father's.
The sheer thought of her, wanting to replace me with my dad ate me up inside.
I continued running away, I ran as fast and far as I possibly could.
When I finally stopped, I leaned against a tree, and fell to the ground.
Panting, as if I ran a marathon. I stared up at the mountains, the beautiful singing of wolves were heard from the distance.
I got to my feet, and decided to go home.
"Fred!" the audio of my mother ringed in my mind.
I couldn't get her trembling voice out my mind.
"I hate him, I hate him for dying, but I'm sad!" I argued with my self.
From the corner of my eye, I noticed a bush move.
The sun was setting, and I felt like I was being watched.
I started walking back, In a quick pace. Walking turned to running as the feeling got stronger.
As the danger, got more intense, I practically flew out the forest, as I tumbled and fell.
I picked myself up and ran all the way home, without looking back.
