Happy Birthday!
Come again with better attitude

It's been a slow week at my flower stall, but that all changes when a well-dressed man approaches me, looking haughty and self-important. "I want all of your flowers," he says, without so much as a hello.

I raise an eyebrow. "All of them? That's quite a request."

The man nods, as if it's the most normal thing in the world. "Yes, I'm having a party tonight and I want the best flowers you have."

I shake my head. "I'm sorry, but I don't just sell my flowers to anyone. I believe in giving them generously and spreading joy, not just making a profit."

The man scoffs. "What kind of a business are you running here? Don't you want to make money?"

I smile sweetly. "Of course I do, but money isn't everything. I want to spread happiness, not just fill my pockets."

The man sneers at me. "You're just a silly little flower girl, what do you know about happiness? You should be grateful for a wealthy customer like me."

I can feel my temper rising, but I refuse to let this arrogant man get the best of me. "Oh, I'm plenty grateful," I say, with a twinkle in my eye. "I'm grateful for the sunshine, the rain, and the good people who come to my stall. And I'm grateful that I don't have to put up with people like you on a daily basis."

The man looks taken aback by my response, and for a moment I think he's going to storm off. But then, to my surprise, he bursts out laughing. "You're feisty, aren't you?" he says. "I like that. Fine, I'll take what you're offering."

And with that, he chooses a bouquet of fragrant lavender and hands me a wad of cash. "Keep the change," he says, with a grin. "You're worth it."

As he walks away, I can't help but feel a sense of pride. I may not have sold all of my flowers, but I held my ground and stayed true to my beliefs. And who knows, maybe this man will come back with a better attitude next time.

Just as I'm about to pack up my stall, I see a familiar figure riding towards me on a bicycle. It's Jojo, looking happy and carefree as she pedals along. "Hey, Amélie!" she calls, as she comes to a stop beside my stall. "How's business been?"

I grin, feeling my spirits lift. "Good, now that you're here. What brings you back to my stall?"

Jojo grins back. "Just wanted to say hi and see how you're doing. And to tell you that those sunflowers really cheered me up. Thanks again, Amélie."

I feel a warm glow in my heart as I watch Jojo pedal off into the sunset. This may not be the life I imagined for myself, but it's a good one. And who knows what adventures tomorrow will bring.
