Knowing
I quickly packed my backpack filled with vinders.
I put my uniform and ate my breakfast, which was just plain dark coffee. I brushed my teeth and hair.
Then finally headed toward the car.
I waited for my dad to jump in any minute now.
I looked at my watch.
Five minutes have past.
I got insife to see if he atleast was getting ready.
It turns out he was still asleep.
I sighed.
I opened a brand new pack of sticky notes and wrote,
'I walked to school today.'
I once again, headed out.
Most of the time I was speed walking. It took me about fifteen minutes to arrive at school.
The warning bell rang.
Great.
I quickly went inside the building and went straight toward my class.
I quickly threw my backpack toward my assigned locker and headed to class running.
I enetered a room filled with kids around my age
Most were boys.
Most were white. (Not wanting to be racist)
I gulped and went straight yoward an empty seat next to the corner.
I just watched other students as they talked as I always did.
I noticed that most had shoes that were 80 or less dollars. I dont want to be rude but does were pretty lame.
Im not a shoe person. Its just that my other school, everyone had jordan's and shoes like that.
"Hey, Yarreli!" My friend, Nalia, greeted me.
"Oh Hi," I answered shyly.
My other friend, Bianca, came over all energized to see me.
"Yarri!"
I flinched she tried to hug me.
She tried to hug me tighter but I quickly got away.
I never like physical touch, but this girl is somehow going over it.
"How was summer?" Nalia asked.
"It was boring like always," I said, hiding the fact of what really happened.
"It's good to see you again this year," She strecltched out her tiredness
"Yeah, I didn't think I was coming this year. Turns out I did."
We three just sat together with nothing to talk about.
The teacher came in and immediately, made eye contact with me.
She probably knows what happened.
