Sides and Sunny
I layed on my bed staring at the wall as if it was the most interesting thing in the world.
The house felt gray. The sky was gray. My mood was gray. I really hated those days. Those days were more often after my mom and brothers funeral.
I was going to start school tomorrow.
Great.
More gray days.
My anxiety levels rose.
What door do I enter?
Who's my teacher?
Where could I sit during Lunch?
Will people think im smart?
What if I want to use the restroom and my stomach starts to hurt and--
I stopped myself from thinking further.
Maybe walking my dogs would help.
I rose up from bed abd headed outside.
My dad was in his room locked in there.
I quickly knocked,
"Dad, Im going to walk Suuny and Sides,"
Silence.
"Dad?"
I tried to unlock the door.
"Dad?"
Then he finally anwered,
"Ok go walk them."
I sighed.
Why was did I get scared?
Did I think that my dad could gave committed sui--
I took a deep breath and started to get my pets' leashes.
I silently stepped outside to feel the fresh morning air. I headed towards the backyard to meet Sunstreaker and Sideswipe.
I remembered that my little brother named them. He loved Transformers. And of course, he decided to name them Sideswipe and Sunstreaker. My parents didnt like it. It was hard for them to say the name correctly. Especially when both cant speak english.
"Hi Sunny!"
"Hi Sides!"
I greeted both.
Both were tall and handsome german shepherds. One was more yellowish and the other was reddish. I kissed their foreheads and put the leash on them.
"We are going to walk nicely today." I told them.
Both had their own idea.
One wanted to smell the grass on the left while the other one went to the right.
It was another long walk as I suspected.
