Chapter 3

"I have work to do, I'll see you two at home" she informed her brothers before getting up. She sighed in relief, after sitting in there for a hour, her back became stiff. She hurried out the funeral home and in to the parking lot.

She looked at where she was, and realized her walk was longer than done expected.

"I'm so going to be late!" She shouted in her mind.

she ran down the street with everything she had, her hair bounced as she pushed herself even harder.

After 10 minutes of running she sighed. she stopped  to catch her breathe, she leaned over with both hands on her knees taking in deep breaths.

Kol sat between his father and brother, while people from the right went to gaze upon his mother's body one by one.

After they finished talking. everyone got up to look at her, while his father led them both down the aisle to look at their deceased mother one last time. Kol broke down in tears, his hand violently shook as tears poured out of him.

Raoul pulled him into a tight embrace, while rubbing his back and cooing soothing words into his ear.

"Poor child"

"Weak, must get it front the mother side"

Raoul gritted his teeth, at the comments his relatives were throwing at his younger brother.

"Come on, I'll take you home" Raoul stated while picking him up bridal style before pushing pass everyone else.

After they got out of there, Kol calmed down tremendously.

"Sorry, I lost control of my emotions" he mumbled into his neck.

"I was bored anyway"

"Can we stop at the park? Also..."
"Can you put me down?"

Raoul chuckled softly before dropping him on his butt.

"You didn't have to drop me jerk!"

"Want something sweet?"

"Come on do you even need to ask? Let's go to Saki job!" Kol suggested excitedly.

And like he suggested they skipped the park and started walking to Saskia workplace.

"Kauru! Where are my grandkids?"

"You just missed them dad"

"Do they know of their blood yet?"

Kauru looked away from his family while rubbing the back of his head.

"No, the kids and I don't really get along" he confessed.

"Now look here, you may be there immortal family but us mortals have a say what happens to them too!" The elder from the mother side spoke up.

"Your daughter is dead, so since the father is alive naturally we'll handle them" kauru father stated.

"What will you do when they get the urge to drink blood?" A male with red hair spoke.

"They, they might not developed the taste for blood" she argued back.

"Can't we just kill them father?" His oldest son questioned.

"Don't you dare!" Kauru  hissed protectively.

"Family matters don't concern neither side anymore, I'll take care of my own damn kids!"

"Don't concern us?"

His father eyes burned a bright red as he struck him with his fist, they are my flesh and blood you damn brat"
