HUNTER'S P.O.V.

Since then I try my best to be not only a brother but also a mother and a father to Daisy. But I know no matter how much I tried to be there for her, I can't replace them in our lives. No one can replace them. Even if Adrian and Jenna are like our parents, there's a small hole in our hearts that can't be filled.We both know that.

"What are you thinking Hunt? Open the gift." said Daisy pointing her gift in my hands.

She's waiting anxiously for my reaction. I chuckled at her, ripping the gift cover. It's a medium sized box, As my curiosity reached its peaks, I opened the gift and my eyes widened at it.

It's a watch. A racer's watch and it has a motorcycle idol on it's dial. It's looks incredible I like it instantly.

"This is attractive bunny, and useful too. Thank you"

She screamed happily and jumped in my arms. I laughed and twirled her around. When she got on her feet, she started hitting me.

"Hey hey, now what happened?" I questioned confused trying to block her hits.

"I told you not to call me Bunny. It's so childish." she pouted.

"But you are  a Bunny. Small and cute. You even have a fluffy bunny toy when you're a kid. You take it everywhere you go. That's why I call you Bunny." I smirked at her.

"So what? It's when I'm a kid. Not now.And I'm not small. I'm taller than all the girls of my age. So, don't call me that" she said furiously stomping her foot.

"Ok Ok" I agreed with her. But we both know I won't stop it.

"Alright, it's your party evening so be ready."

"Daisy, there's no need to held a party. Not for this occasion" I tried to convince her.

"No Hunt. You always said that and I too listened to you. But now I'm not hearing you. You have to be there and I'm bringing a friend to it. I'll introduce her to you."

Ughhh..... Again with the matchmaking.

It's better to end this discussion.

"Ok, your wish. Do whatever you want"

"Yessss" she screamed happily running downstairs. "Be ready at 7:30"

I chuckled at her retreating figure.

Evening at the party

"Happy Birthday son" Adrian hugged me and patted my shoulders.

"Wish you a many more happy returns of the day Sweety" Jenna too hugged me tightly.

I returned her hug just as much tight hoping that she know how much gratitude I feel towards her. She released me patting my cheeks affectionately.

"Hunter" I heard someone calling me. Tuning around I saw Tyson and Alec coming towards me.

"Happy Birthday buddy" they both gave a friendly hug.

"Thanks guys."

"So, how's the party? Do you like it?" Tyson asked wiggling his eyes.

"Really guys, you know I only agreed with this for Daisy" I sigh.

"Come on man, be happy your sister doing this for you. Look around, so many sexy girls" Alec said looking at the them.

"Yah Yah, it's the only reason I'm tolerating with this shit" I laughed with them.

"So, did you pick the girl you want to spend tonight?" he asked.

"No, later buddy"

When I'm talking with them, Daisy came out of nowhere and greeted me again.

"Come on, we have to go to my friend's house. She needs a lift."

"Daisy, you can take Tyson or Alec" I tried to convince.

"But they'll keep flirting with her and she'd be so awkward with them."

"Hey, I don't flirt with everyone. You can tell him you'd be jealous if I flirt with your friend" Tyson said flashing his smirk.

She rolled her eyes at him and look at me with expectant eyes.

"Do you think I'll not flirt with her" I raised my eyebrows.

"No, but if you make her uncomfortable, I can gladly kick your ass" she said sweetly.

 I rolled my eyes and took the keys. As we driving, she don't stop talking about her friend.

She doesn't have many friends. Boys are scared to be with her and girls are always with her to be with us. So, she doesn't have single genuine friend in her life. I'm glad she found one who she can share her feelings.

"I'm warning you Hunter, if you do anything that'll embarrass her, I'm going to strangle you" she threatened.

I rolled my eyes and soon we stop at a small house looks cozy. It's lawn is full of plants and flowers. It look homely. As I get out locked the car, Daisy already went to open the door with the key she has.

Wow!!! she even had the key to house. 

I walked behind her looking around. Inside the house, I got a feeling of warmth and something more. The house looks nice and tidy with just a couch, T.V. and a book shelf in the living room.

Daisy is nowhere to see. Probably gone to call her friend. As I was looking around, Daisy comes downstairs with a sulking face and murmuring something I couldn't hear.

"She's impossible. How can she forget about the party? I even reminded her yesterday. What a girl she is? And you know, she doesn't like parties. Tell me, who don't like PARTIES?" she screamed at the end.

"Umm... your friend?"I said questioningly.

She huffed a breath. "Right, she is."

She went out ta make a call asking me to wait till her friend comes.

I looked at the book shelf. There's a huge collection of books. Clearly, she's a nerd. Then I sense a presence behind me. Being a president to a MC club I can tell when in danger. I calmly stood there watching in the glass of shelf waiting for her next move. She took a lamp and slowly walked towards me without making any sound and raised her hand to hit me. Just then, I turned around and gripped her hand which held the lamp and flipped her back to me. She kept struggling to free from my grip.She's soft and petite against me. I couldn't see her face fully but from the view I got, I bet she's the most beautiful girl I've ever seen. 

"Tsk Tsk..... Are you trying to hit me kitten?" I asked smirking at  her figure.

"Who are you? What do you want? How do you enter my house? There's nothing here you can steal" she fired questions not giving a space to me to answer.

Then I recalled her words.

What the hell.... Do I look like a thief to her???? 

Without loosing grip, I turned her around to see her.

Fuck.... 

She's not only beautiful, but also innocent. So innocent like a just born baby. So innocent like she doesn't see the darkness of the world. Everything about her is innocent, but not her eyes.They held a number of dark secrets. Secrets that'll definitely burn her alive. Secrets that'll consume her soul entirely. Her eyes are so expressive at the same time they are blank. It's like she's living life with a wall around her and guarding it to not let anyone to break it. Even she looks innocent, her eyes told me she lives a hundreds in her existence. I want to know all her secrets. I want to know her dark side. I want all her walls to break. I want her to be free, happy and enjoy every moment of life. And I want to do all these to her. 

It's crazy to think like this to a complete stranger, but I can't stop the feeling. I felt an unbreakable pull towards her. 

"LEAVE ME, YOU BURGLAR" 

I came out of my thoughts at her scream.

Wow... she does think I'm a burglar.

I looked at her amusingly and bent down close to her.

"Do I look like a thief to you kitten?" I asked even though I know the answer,

Just as I open my mouth to answer, Daisy came and spoke. "He's my brother."

I reluctantly leave her as Daisy introduced us.

"Hunt, she's Melody, my best friend"

Melody... cute and soft just like her.

She starts rambling not giving me a chance to speak.

"I'm sorry. I don't know Daisy would be bringing you. Normally I didn't have any visitors that too at this hour. And she didn't tell me you are here. So, I thought you were a thief. I'm so sorry"

I can tell she's embarrassed about this. But her rambling is so cute. I chuckled at her and smiled.

"It's ok, kitten. I forgive you."

"Umm.... My name is Melody" she said shyly. Pink is visible on her cheeks. Cute.

"I know, but kitten suits you better."

And it's true. The first time I see her, there's a fear in her eyes and then she quickly covered it with her brave facade. There's a spitfire in them. But that does not make her look fiery. It makes her cute like a kitten with claws.

"Ummm..... Thanks" she said questioningly.

So innocent. I chuckled.

"Ok. Now let's go to the party" Daisy said.

"Yah.... Come on girls" I said walking to the door.

When we reached the car, I saw Melody's jaw dropped at the sight of car. Her eyes wide and mouth opened looks cute.

I'm saying cute so many times. But what can I do? She is cute. It has to be a crime to look this cute.  

"God!!! It's fantastic" I hear her saying to herself.

"I know"

"Oh shoot!!! Did I say it loud" again she speak up loudly.

"Yes, you are" I said amused at her behavior.

"Again...." she groaned. I chuckled at her and get to the car.

Daisy already sat behind. So, I went to open the door for Melody. Before starting the car, I turned to her and asked

"Daisy said this is your first party, right?"

She nodded her head confusedly.

I smirked "Then you're going to have fun."

She widened her eyes and inhales deeply before tuning to other side looking through the window.

During the ride, I'm stealing glances at her and she was oblivious to it. Her face tells me she's uncomfortable and also embarrassed.

As I stop the car at our MC club, I saw face morphed with fear. I frowned at her not knowing why she's scared. Probably because this is her first party.

I started walking infront of them fastly because I know if I stand beside her another minute I'll definitely grab her near the wall and kiss her senselessly. My mind is always on her, I shook my thoughts and went inside the club to meet my friends.

"Hey baby...Happy birthday" Cassidy said hugging me.

"Thanks, now leave me" I said irritatingly.

I slept with her once. That's my biggest mistake of my life. From then onwards, she starts clinging to me every chance she got and not leaving me alone. I can't avoid her. She's so desperate.

"Don't you want to see your gift?" she asked seductively circling her hands round my neck.

"No Cassidy, I don't want it" I said trying to put some distance between us.

"Why babe, you'll like it" she tried.

"No, I don't need it. You can go now" I said harshly.

She frowned "Whatever, you'll come to me at the end of the day" she went away to another biker who would gladly took her gift.

I rolled my eyes at her and saw Melody talking to Daisy drinking water.

I know she wouldn't drink alcohol.

I can sense she's scared to be here. Then Daisy left her and went to dance. She's laughing at her dance.

She's beautiful when she smiles. But I know it's not her real one. I wonder how her real smile is.  

"Man, she's special" said Tyson pointing at Melody.

"Yah, she is" Alec said looking at her longingly "She reminds me of Anna"

Anna was his only sister who was killed by some bastards. We can't figure out who it might be. But when we get them in our hands they're going to pray to God to let them die. Alec was devastated for Anna. He distanced himself from the world for 2 years. We tried alot to get him with us, but he refused said he wanted to be alone. As the time passes, he wants to take revenge on that bastards. He's still trying to find them.

"I mean who carry bandaids in their bags. Clearly she's incredible." Tyson said.

"Who?" I asked confusedly as I didn't participate in their conversation earlier.

"Melody" Tyson said "She doesn't know my famous pick up line. When I asked her a band aid she just take it out of her purse to give me. Literally." 

I laughed at his pouted face. "That's really Melody."

I turned to her only to see Marcus holding her hand. From my view, I'm sure she's trying to get rid of him.All I see was red as I quickly strode towards them. I hear Marcus saying "This could be your first. Actually I can be your first" with a dangerous glint in his eyes. And I hear her telling him to leave her. Her voice is so scared. That's the last straw for my sanity.

"I think the lady wants to leave her, Marcus"

Seeing me, fear is disappeared in Melody's eyes. I don't know why I'm satisfied for that. 

"Hunter, I just trying to give my babe a drink" said Marcus with a sinister smile.

"But it looks like you're forcing her to do it. So, I suggest you to leave her alone" I spoke with an authoritative voice he can't deny. Perks of being a President.

He raised his hands in surrender and gone through the crowd.

Melody turned to me with a gratitude smile.

"Thank you so much"

"No problem, but you be careful with him. He's an asshole."

"Ok. Umm.... And I'm sorry about earlier incident"

I chuckled at her cuteness.

"It's ok. Actually, I'd be surprised if you don't react that way."

She give her shy smile looking down.

I sat next to her ordering a juice. I don't want to leave her alone in this place. There are so many bastards here like Marcus. So, I decide to stay with her until Daisy comes. I don't know how to start a conversation. This is all new to me. Normally, all girls threw themselves at me. So, I don't need to take the first step. But it's completely opposite situation now. Melody is not like that girls. She's beautiful, pure and innocent.

"So, I heard you were a librarian" I asked starting a small talk.

"Yes" she said with a lovely smile.

"Why?" 

She's confused at my question.

"Why do you choose to be a librarian?" I asked detailedly.

"Oh... I love reading. Books are escape from my reality. An escape from pain. An escape from all the darkness of world" she said with a distant look in her face.

Again, there's a secret behind her words.

Oh kitten!!! You don't know what you gotten yourself into. I'm going to ravel all your secrets one by one and before you know it, all the walls you built around your heart will be destroyed. And I'm the one to do it....
