Days passed.

The frequent interactions between Vaishnavi and Reji bought them more close to each other. Vaishnavi began treating Reji as a close friend.

One day, the principal of that MBA college declared 10  days holiday to all first year students, because of the political conflicts occurred in that area.
Reji, Abdullah and Vaishnavi decided to go to Maharashtra, their homes.
Vaishnavi had to do some shopping before leaving for Maharashtra. So, she asked Reji and Abdullah to come with her.

At men's hostel.

Abdullah          "Are you going for shopping with her ?"

Reji            "Yes."

Abdullah          "Do you need to purchase something  or are you just giving her a company ? "

Reji           "No. I'm not purchasing anything. "

Abdullah [exhaled]         "Can I ask you a favour ? Could you please let me and Vaishnavi, do the shopping ?"

Reji          "What do you mean ?"

Abdullah           "Please don't go for shopping with her. Let me go with her."

Abdullah cont'd          "I want to impress her. I love her."

Reji           "But...."

Abdullah [interrupted]           "She likes humor and I'm quite good at it. If I could spend some time with her, I can impress her."

Abdullah cont'd           "Please, let me spend some time with her."

Reji was sad as well as angry. But, he didn't let Abdullah know about it.

Reji          "Okay, I won't come."

Reji [in his mind]         "What the fuck ? I love her, I should have gone with her."

Few hours later.

Abdullah went for shopping. He prepared some good jokes and was happy to see Vaishnavi but, his dreams were shattered, when he saw Lavanya, who came for shopping with Vaishnavi. Abdullah was frustrated to see Lavanya.

Abdullah [Texted, to Reji]          "Yea randi Lavanya bhi aaya saath mein [Meaning, in English. 'Lavanya, the whore. She came along with Vaishnavi.' ]"

Reji laughed when he read that text message. He was happy that Abdullah didn't get the chance, to spend some time alone with Vaishnavi.

Reji [texted]          "Great. Now you can woo both."

Abdullah [texted]         "Maaki chud. [Meaning. Motherfucker, in English.] You should have come with us."

Reji [texted]       "Yeah..."

That day, at that moment, Reji felt like he was on top of the world. He felt like there's something between him and Vaishnavi, and Abdullah can't separate then from each other.

Abdullah [texted]         "My bad luck..... I thought I could try something and impress her."

Reji [texted]            "Yeah. Now enjoy your shopping with Lavanya."

Later that day.

Abdullah came from shopping. He told about Lavanya to Reji. Both of them teased each other.

Night 7:00pm.

Reji, Abdullah and Vaishnavi left for Maharashtra.

Few days later, At Reji's house.

At Night.

Reji and his father were sitting in Reji's room, talking about the college.

Pothan           "So how was your college ? How's it ?"

Reji             "Good."

Reji cont'd            "Appa...... Can I tell you something ?"

Pothan             "You don't need to ask for that, tell."

Reji           "I know you love me and trust me a lot, and that's the reason why our relation is more like friends."

Pothan          "I'm impressed, now tell the important point, don't elaborate it."

Reji            "That ........ I ...."

Pothan [interrupted]            "Are you in love with someone ?"

Reji [shockingly]            "But, how do you know ?"

Pothan            "Because I'm your father."

Reji            "Yeah. I love a girl."

Pothan              "What's her name ?"

Reji             "Vaishnavi."

Pothan             "Malayali ?"

Reji            "No, Marathi."

Pothan             "If they are extremist, like majority of the marathis, then they will kill you. "

Reji           "Hmm."

Pothan           "She knows it ?"

Reji            "No."

Reji cont'd        "I don't know if she loves me or not."

Pothan           "Is it really love or infatuation ?"

Pothan cont'd            "It's impossible to fall in love with a girl, within 2 months. "

Reji           "I'm in love with her from the very first day of my TY exams."

Pothan          "Hmm.....don't tell your mother about it."

Pothan cont'd              "And don't let this love thing get over your head."

Reji            "Why ?"

Pothan             "First ask her, if she loves you or not ?"

Pothan              "And if she tells 'NO' then, it would be hard for you."

Reji            "Yeah, I know. "

Reji cont'd              "But how should I tell her ?"

Pothan             "The same way you said to me."

Pothan cont'd            "On the first day of your college, after this vacation, tell her about it."

Reji            "Okay, I'll try."

Pothan              "No trying, just do it."

Reji              "Okay."

Pothan [chuckles]        "You are my boy, she'll love you."
