Tomorrow Will Always Be Beautiful.
The ringing sound of his phone vibrating through his pocket caused his consciousness to come back. Michael's eyes slowly opened, gazing blury upon the window of the bullet train. "Where am I...?" He muttered touching his forehead. "He looked at his right realizing that Dawn had fallen asleep on his arm and remembered he was traveling to Allentown. "Oh fuck what time is it?!" He said whispering as he tried not to wake her up. The red haired teenager took out his phone from his pocket and realised that his alarm had gone off. "23:15 huh...? Thank God I set an alarm minutes before we've arrived cause if I hadn't ,then we would have travelled to a whole new country instead of Allentown!" He thought to himself. "Hey, sleeping beauty... It's about time you wake up!" She said to her. "Huh...?" She looked at him with a face full of drool. "It's about time we got off the train..." He continued. "Where am I?" She asked. "In a train. I just said so." Michael said repeating himself. "Oh yeah I remember now." Dawn said slowly realising the situation they were in. "Now let's go!" Michael said as he got up and stretched out his hand to her. "All passengers traveling to Allentown, please disembark." A woman's voice could be heard from the speakers. "Yeah..." The blue eyed girl said grabbing his hand.
As the two teenagers left the bullet train and Allentown's station they decided to visit Dawn's aunt the next day and started searching for a hostel to spend the night cause as it was beginning to get late. Not long after that they found one which looked really cozy and decided to enter. "How much for one night?" Michael asked the receptionist. "Room for one? It's 30 dollars." She asked. "Great! Here you go." Michael said as he handed the given price to her. "Thank you very much! You're at room 200! Fill in your name here and you'll be ready to go to your room." The blonde haired receptionist said as she handed over a piece of paper to him. "Thank you, I'll do just that!" He said grabbing a pen and the paper and wrote down his name.
Michael unlocked the room's door as Dawn was peaking behind his back. The room was quite elegant for a one night place. The bathroom was on their left hand, a closet was on their right and at the hall's end there was a desk and a balcony just beside it. The bed was on the opposite direction of the desk. "It's actually quite cool!" Dawn said as he jumped in the room before Michael could enter. "Yeah it is quite cozy I guess." The red haired teenager said closing the door behind him. "Woaahhh! Take a look at that! They have fish-shaped soaps!" The blue eyed girl said in amazement. "Oh what a surprise!" Michael said laughing. "Well once I'm here, I'll take a shower because all this trip made me sweaty!" She said slamming the door behind her. "Too much info!" Michael said. "Oh and don't you dare peek or I'll rip off your eyes!" Dawn said opening the door after seconds she slammed it and slammed it shut again. "Yeah, yeah..." He said yawning. "I guess I should call Stephanie to see if something's up..." Michael said as he took his phone off his pocket and typed in their house's phone number. He waited and waited but no one responded. "She must be sleeping..." He said falling on top of the freshly cleaned bed. "What the hell got into me so suddenly?" He thought to himself as he stretched out his hand and blocked all the light coming from the room's lightbulb all the way to his face. "I thought that I would live in peace and quiet for the rest of my school years... Away from magic... Just what am I doing with my life anyway...?" His train of thoughts had started going wild at the moment. Seconds after that the door of the bathroom opened and Dawn exited the bathroom with only her blue tank top, a skirt and a towel covering her hair. She was gazing at the ground looking gloomy. "Did the princess wash herself?" Michael said not noticing her expression. His sarcastic tone had no reply as she stood there still. "Is something wrong?" Michael asked realizing she wasn't in the mood for jokes. "I was just thinking about me... Thinking about the receptionist who couldn't see me... I thought that if she couldn't see me then my aunt would have probably forgotten about me too..." Dawn said with eyes shining from the coming tears. "Hey... I'm sure she will remember you once you stand right in front of her!" He said as he got up from the bed and faced her. "But... But what if she has forgotten about me?! What if you wake up tomorrow and you don't remember anything about me?! WHAT IF I DONT EXIST TOMORROW?!" The blue eyed girl started shouting as tears fell like a waterfall from her shining eyes. "Stop this nonsense right now..." He said as he pulled her arm and hugged her. "I don't want to disappear... I don't want people to forget that I ever existed... I'M SCARED...!" She said tightening her grip around Michael's back as she wet his shirt with tears. "I won't let you disappear! I swear I'm not going to forget about you... So will you please stop crying?" The red haired teenager said hugging her tighter.
Her crying went on and on until she finally calmed down and lied down at the bed. Michael sitting beside her at the edge of the bed. Her face and eyes were bright red but that didn't stop her from looking beautiful. "Hey... If you go against your word and forget about me... I'll kill you..." Dawn said blushing as she pulled up the covers. "Yeah, Yeah I know..." Michael replied smilling. "Don't you wanna sleep too?" The blue eyed girl asked. "I will, later on." The red haired teenager replied. "You can sleep next to me as long as you don't do anything weird to me as I'm sleeping..." She said blushing once again. "I won't do anything like that idiot!" He said laughing. "Well then goodnight..." Dawn said turning off the lights. "Good night." He replied. She closed her eyes facing the ceiling and tried to fall asleep. "She looks so calm when she is like that... And kinda cute..." Michael thought watching her gorgeous face. "She reminds me of Stephanie so much... After the fire incident she felt like she had lost everything... She was so depressed and in need of help. But thanks to me she bounced back. I hope she bounces back too. She doesn't deserve this fate..." The red haired teenager was lost in his thoughts once again. He suddenly started humming a song that came to his mind at the time for no particular reason. It was a song that he had heard years ago, but for some odd reason he remembered it clear as day. "Hmm Hmm Hmm..." He hummed it slowly as the lyrics came to his mind like a storm. He couldn't resist the urge to sing and before he knew it, he had started to do so.
"As I searched for a reason to sing and a place to belong
By the time I’d noticed, I was here
Those flowing words you’ve given me
have saved me so many times
If, you’re feeling sad somewhere out there
Then
What I can do for you is sing the best I can, “It’ll be alright”
I’m sure that wherever you are
The melody will resound somewhere in your heart
Those monochrome days will be colored with sound
In the starless sky, the cresent moon
shines more beautifully than it did yesterday
Look, tomorrow is much more wonderful
than you think it is."
In the darkness, a little boy is falling asleep as a beautiful female voice echoes through the moonlight room.
"Tomorrow will always be beautiful..."
