His tender voice almost had me wrapped around his finger, the look he gave me when he has burning desire to hold me in his arms had me melted but gladly Drew showed up on time to save me from the stupidity I almost put myself in and from the look of things I could tell Dave was not happy with his presence. A short introduction was enough to wipe off the tensity and awkward silence that immerged among us and without any waste of time Drew pulled me aside as he wrapped his arm around my waist and the second I walked away I looked back at David and his expression showed nothing but jealousy and frustration and as much as I felt bad for him, it felt good to put him in the situation I've always been in. Hopefully this we'll bring him to the realization of how much he hurts me each time he goes back to his fiancée after telling me sweet nothing and making me look like a fool all over again.
We kept walking for a couple of minutes till we reached a secluded area, nobody was around and the only I thing I could hear was the beating of my heart as I anticipated what's to come and felt quite skeptical about him bringing me here.This whole moment had me wishing David came along or at least was around to look out for me incase anything happened. My body language made it so obvious that I wasn't comfortable with where we were and I wasn't surprised when he asked me if I was okay.

"yeah, yeah I am" I said though I knew deep down I wasn't,
"am just wondering why you brought me here" I didn't want to let it sound like I was I scared but rather a joke I was hoping he would believe.
He chuckled as he glanced at the city lights that were from a horizon then looked back at me.
"I wanted some quiet time with you, you're so gorgeous that it's impossible to talk to you for a minute without been interrupted by every man drewling over you"
I was blushing and chuckling at the same time, is he trying to flirt with me?

"it's true, you're so beautiful and it would be insane of me to let this night pass without talking to you but if you're uncomfortable we can go back inside, either ways I just want you to be free around me."

His words sounded so genuine, so I let my guard down and decided to take the risk, what could happen? There are hundreds of people here and having a tight security system gave me an assurance that everything will be okay I mean what could possibly go wrong?

Later that night after the party Drew walked me to my room and during our entire conversation I couldn't help but think about David and I know it's so stupid of me to do this but I just can't seem to throw away my cares for him. I wasn't looking forward to letting Drew inside my hotel room and I was hoping he wouldn't ask me to, I let out a little yawn which I know is rude but hoped it would be enough to give him a sign.

"I bet you must be tired"he said as he held my hand in his.

" I wish we could spend more time but..... "

" it's okay I understand, you should get some rest and besides you have a long flight tomorrow. I hope to see you soon"

One side of me was all in it and the other couldn't stop holding onto David, he then kissed me on my cheeks and faded away into the night. Damn it Adeline, why can't I let him go and move on, just let him go and be with somebody who wouldn't put you in any position to hurt you.All this felt so suffocating so I went outside to get some air and whom did I see?David. now here we are again face to face but yet have nothing to say.
