Trucker's life turned poet
So missing the endless miles
Getting to see the beauty of God's creation
Only to be stripped of my passion
For the open road of endless miles
To be given a new passion
To be among some of the greatest poets
Exposing deep scars of sadness, love
Growing deeper into a life of solitude
As my pen bleeds great sadness, anger
Sharing my emotions
With others alike
On this paper is my heart, soul
Together but alone
Longing deeply for the road
As I express this heartache, the empty hole
Begins to fill just a little
As fellowship grows
Passion begets passion
In the darkest of times
