Last night, I could sleep properly. I was thinking about Rachel bumping into me, I was shit scared. I didnt expect her in Sunshill.
Yesterday, me and Scott went to Sunshill police department. We met Detective Riley, who investigated the murder of Smith and family. We took a copy of the case file with us for further study. While leaving the department, Riley told us about a family who lived in West City. She didn't remember the family's name, but she told us that the all three Murders share some similarities.
Today, me and Scott were going to West City, to investigate more about the murder mentioned by Riley but, we had to cancel it. In the morning, at eleven, I received a phone call from Cloverfield Sheriff. He asked me and Scott to come and meet him. We meet to meet the Sheriff, we went to his office, we were sitting in the chairs, waiting for him. After a couple of minutes, he walked in, apologizing to us for being late. He was tall, more that six and half feet. He had brown wavy hair, a big mustache and a small beard. He opened a drawer of his table and took out a file. He kept it in front of us and asked us to take a look.
I took the file and opened it. I saw photos of Ranjith and his family, all dead and lying on the floor like a 'V' and an 'I'. Ranjith, his wife and their two children were all dead. The youngest member of the family was beheaded.
After looking at the photographs, I understood why Sheriff called us here.
'You found the head in the kitchen? ' I asks, closing the file.
'Yes. We found it in the dishwasher. ' he replies. He moved the file closer to him.
'He died on 4th. He organized a party for his friends and relatives, it was Diwali (a festival celebrated in India), the day he died. We talked to them, but no one knows what happened after they left the party.' Sheriff sighs, leaning backward on his chair and folding his hands over his chest.
'He and his family died when they were the most vulnerable, like the others. ' Scott says, keeping his hands on the table.
'What do you mean? ' Sheriff asks.
'We checked the postmortem report. They were either drunk or they used drugs when they died.' I replies.
We thanked the Sheriff for sharing the information with us and left the office.
