My life with Rachel is back on track. Thanks to Scott, two days ago he gave me a mermaid sculpture and told me to give it to Rachel. When I asked him about it, he said about the conversation Rachel had with Sarah. I realized the reason behind why she was ignoring me and all I had to do was to lie to her and make our life happy.
This morning, on my way to Mint City, I received a call from Adrian, a MCPD officer. He informed me about the death of Mia, Ranjith's girlfriend. She and her husband, Eddie were found dead in their home and the cop, whom Scott put on work was missing.
Mia didn't had a child and since she was the youngest member, her head was found in the kitchen. They were lying on the floor, Mia like a 'V' and Eddie like an 'I'. So, they could either be number VI or IV.
After these seven Murders, our Department was on a rush to solve this case by any means possible. We did a second round of interrogation. We interrogated the families and neighbors of all the victims. On second round of interrogation, we found more about this case, the relation between the victims.
Aayesha was Ranjith's friend and he had an affair with Mia. Nawal and Ranjith's wife knew eachother, they both were patients of Dr. Siddique. Megan was working on a project for Jefferson's firm. Jefferson knew Smith, they used to play golf together. All these information we got, were of no use. It all started and ended like a circle. We couldn't find a single person who had a link with all the victims.
During the interrogation, many relatives of the victims said about Rachel. They said they met her few days ago and she was asking them questions about the victims. I was shocked to hear Rachel's involvement in it. I don't know the reason why she was going after this case.
After the end of interrogation, me and Scott left the office. We went to a pub and we were having our first drink when I received a call from the department.
'Sir. Jennifer and her daughter wee found dead. Their body is at least a day old.'
After finishing the drink, Scott and I went to Jennifer's house. We looked at way her body was positioned, she was number seven. Her body was cut into two, to make them look like two 'I' and her daughter's body was positioned like a 'V'. The cop, who was assigned to protect Jennifer was missing.
We spent the whole night searching the house. When we checked her phone, we found photos of Rachel which she took recently. I was really worried, I don't know what theses photos of Rachel will lead us to.
