A girl
There was once a girl,
Or you could call her an entity,
For that was all she ever was,
And everything that she'd hoped to be.
Maybe she was trapped in a prison she'd made herself,
And maybe she was too afraid to break out.
We don't know for sure,
We know nothing about her for sure.
She had friends,
Of course she had.
They knew all about her favourite colour,
But they knew nothing of her.
As they say, we can never ask of things we know nothing about.
Her wrists were clear, but pale
Her eyes were brown, but shallow.
She laughed without humor,
She danced without joy.
And she never fell in love again.

Youth
New
Riding on paper planes,
Unlit cigarettes
They aim to burn the town.
Young
Long drives,
Unknown miles
Gasoline on fire, their souls.
Rage
A scream of victory,
A haunting melody
They cower in the face of death.
Pain
A ghost town,
A frowning clown
They dance around the bonfire.
Misery
How far you can go,
Find the treasure you're looking for
Their smile is a work of art.
