FAREWELL
Cheering.
You can hear everyone cheering. Not because there's a concert nor a battle between two teams but because it's the last day of being a college student. Its almost 2 years since the day she disappear. I still can see her magazines,shows and even her movies. I keep on supporting her even though both of us now are strangers.
It's been 2 years, I'm still wearing the necklace she gave me. I have no intention on removing it except if needed.
Everyone are celebrating because this is it. We are about to face the real world. We are about to face how cruel the world is. I feel so excited yet so nervous in the same time. I'm still having a second thought if Im actually ready for this.
While all of them are cheering, here I am standing infront of the window. Looking at them, seeing every each one of them. Crying, laughing, smiling even kissing because this might be the last we will see each other.
"Max? What are you doing here?" Asked Elizabeth. Wearing her graduation dress, with a combination of white and black. She looks so pretty. I can see why other guys likes her so much. They admire Elizabeth so much. One of Elizabeth's suitors is consistent on giving her gifts. While the others are using their talents to impress my bestfriend.
"Just thinking about life?" I joking. She gave me a smile come much closer. Elizabeth also looks at the other students celebrating.
"By the way, can you come into my house tonight?" She asked. Giving me hear cat eyes like she's begging me to come with her.
"Why though? Arent you celebrating your graduation with your parents?" Then I crossed my arms.
"Well. My mother asked you if you can join us to celebrate our graduation? You and mom are friends after all" she explained.
"Hmm.sure?"
"You're not sure?" She asked while giving me her glaring eyes. Do I have any choice? She will force me to come with her anyway, so I have no other choice then. I touch her shoulder.
"Yeah. Sure. I'll go there at exactly 6:30 tonight"
Giving her reassurance so that she wont down anymore. She cheer herself up! Keeps on jumping and suddenly she hugs me.
"Eh? You okay?" Asked I.
"OF COURSE! I'm just so happy! It's been awhile since the last time we celebrate together" Elizabeth explained. I can feel Elizabeth's hug is getting tight. She pressed my body like I'm her pillow. Then she stops. Thank ghad I almost fainted.
"Owh sorry, anyway! I'm gonna go! So that I can prepare the things that are needed later! BYE!"
Elizabeth rushing her explaination. I just let her run away while I left alone once again.
I can hear the sounds of my every footsteps. Every steps I made, there are memories that are coming back. Bringing back the day when I used to sneak out so that I can see Hana earlier than usually dismissal. Should I forget her already? Or should I stay and wait for her? Sigh* what a messy reality.
As soon as I got home to my old house. It is a second floor house, it is color violet and you can see how old it is already just by looking at it. I feel alone again. My grandaprents that took good care of me are with my cousins at the province.
They keep on giving me messages, I regulary read it so that I can boost my mood. They always cheer me up no matter how tired they are. Well there is no time to feel sad, I still have a party to attend. I have no time to waste! What should I wear? Hmmm.
I took something inside my closet, I hope this thing still fits me and surprisingly it did.
It was an old red polo shirt and a black short. I run through the restroom and took a bath for about 5 minutes? I'm not sure if I checked the time right. I just rush things and here I am! Ready to go.
While I'm on my way heading to Elizabeth's house,my phone suddenly rang. There was a notification. It was a notification about Hana's current life. There was a blog about Hana saying that one of their co-worker likes her. His name is Leo Gere, people call him Leo. As I look at his profile, Leo's career is just starting. He's not that famous for now but maybe soon?
You can see his jawline, thick eyebrows,brown eyes, his physical fit body and Leo is only 24 same age as Hana. Well screw this!
I continue reading the blog and by reading his statement it gave me chills!
"The first time I saw Utsukushi Hana,I already feel my heart chasing her. She's the apple of my eye! And starting that day I want to court her. Give her the love she deserves" Leo's statement.
Well shit. But as I continue scrolling up. I saw Hana's statement. "I have no time to fall inlove yet.I'm still continue finding myself."
Someone asked her the tough question.
"But have you been fell inlove before?"
There was a complete silence after that questions says the blog.
"There was this one person who completely changed my life"
"If you have a message to that person? What will it be?"
The blog says that Hana took a deep breath and smiled.
"Knowing you is an accident. But loving you is a choice. So no matter where you are. What you are doing. I hope you're doing fine"
My heartbeat started to skip. I was about to read the other stuff but suddenly there was a phone call. It was Elizabeth, as I look at the time it's already 6:30 pm. Oh my ghad! I'm late!
I answered the phone call and started running.
With the use of my whole energy I still made it even though I'm 10 monutes late.
I saw Elizabeth's parents and also her of course preparing to eat. I gave them my biggest smile and join them.
Elizabeth's mother congratulate the both of us and gave me a kiss on the cheeks. There was a table full of different foods, the ceiling and the walls are full of decorations even the chairs have there own designs. The momen I looked up it was the only the I saw the greeting
"CONGRATULATION!" I'm so lucky to have them. As the time goes by, I didnt realized it was already late. I was about to say goodbye and tell them I'm leaving but they refused.
"You can sleep with Elizabeth, both of you are living in the same dorm after all" said Elizabeth's mother. Even though her age is already kinda bit old but her looks is almost the same as Elizabeth. She looks so young and strong.
"You can stay with me for tonight" Elizabeth inviting me. At that moment I felt how heavy my body is. So I decided to stay. Elizabeth and I are sharing in the same room. Just like we're inside the dorm but this time, there's only one bed available.
I just lay down on the floor while she's on her bed. There was a complete silence. I keep on thinking about Hana and that Leo. Is this the sign I'm looking for? To forget about Hana?
"Hey Max?" Said Eli breaking the silence.
"Yes?"
"Should we have a drink? I just cant sleep tonight, is that okay with you?" Eli asked.
"Sure"
Hana get something downstairs. I dont know if it is a wine or a beer but as we continue drinking we didnt realized that we're already drunk. I just lay myself on the wall while Elizabeth is still sitting straight.
"Hey, Ma-Max?. I have a question"
"Hmmm?"
"Do you have a pla-plan to court someone aside to Hana?" I was surprised being asked by her about that.
"So far. I have no plan on courting someone. Except her?"
"Is that so?"
"How about you? about your suitors? When do you plan on answering one of them?"
"I have no plan on answering one of them"
After her answer. There was another complete silence. She just looks at me and gave me a smile. I'm just curious why? Her suitors are actually goodlooking and can take good care of her. Then why not? I'm a curious bestfriend. So I asked her why but Elizabeth's answer surprised me.
"Because I love you"
