Alexandra never once left me. She never doubted me. She always trusted me wholeheartedly.

I remember when the rain was falling so hard. I was alone that time waiting for it to stop. I left my umbrella at home, yep I’m useless. All I know before was to beat the ass of those jerks! Those people who are self centered. Those people who see themselves as God.

“Hey William!”

Someone said from behind. As soon as I look back there was a sudden snap within my eyes. I fell down to the ground while touching my left face. It is bleeding.

“You son of a bitch! Trying to rule this school” said the guy with a golden chain around his neck.

It was Brad, the leader of the gang here inside the school. He is actually skinny and tall. Brad’s body is not the strong but with his group. Yep! I wont doubt that they’re pretty intense.

I tried to get up but some of his members kicked me. They continue to torture me while my blood is pouring down same as the rain.

“Next time! Be careful who you dealing with! Fucke-“

Brad wasn’t able to finished his statement because there was a sudden bang! It was a sound of a gun. Someone is holding a gun, we hardly see its appearance because of the heavy rain. All I know is that he or she is pointing the gun at Brad.

“He-hey! Who are you?! Pu-put tha-t gun down!” Brad shouted.

I thought that person would listen but I ws wrong. The anonymous shoot the right leg of the guy that kicked me, everyone panicked and started to run. Even the guy who was shot started running. You can see through his face that he is desperately trying to survive.

As soon as Brad ran away, this mysterious person sat beside me. Held my face like I’m something special.

“What have they done to you?” A familiar voice said.

It was the innocent and angelic person. Alexandra. I’ve never thought that she can be this kind of person.

I was about to fell asleep, when she suddenly slap my face softly to wake me up.

After that I woke up.

I woke up with the reality that all of that is just a memory of Alexandra. I woke up somewhere unfamiliar. Where the hell am I? How did I end up here? Then I sudden remember that some old woman tried to eat me. What a nightmare.

“You up?” Asked by a female voice.

I tried to move my body but it is being tied by a rope. Am I a hostage?

As soon as I looked at her, a stranger’s eyes are glowing. What the hell? Is she trying to eat me as well?

“Blinked your eyes for a moment” she suggested. So I did.

My vision became normal. As soon as I my eyes recovered I realized that we are inside the cave. There is a fire with the use of a wood to warm our bodies. I can see her fixing the fire for it to grow.

She has a long brown hair, pale skin,blue eyes and a perfect body shape. She’s wearing a military clothes, red scarf and brown boots. Beside her there is a life saving spear, a rifle and black bag. She looks like she been through a lot.

“Do you feel better now?” She asked.

I nodded.

“The moment you entered this forest it is more likely impossible to get out.”

“Why?”

“Because of the fog”

Right. I remember the moment I woke up. There’s a huge fog almost covering the whole forest.

“The fog is actually a poison. The moment you smell it, you can see illusions. Your inner fears”

“So the old woman that you killed before is a human?”

“She used to be a human. But she got infected badly. The infection entered her brain and when that moment happened, your whole existence will be destroyed”

So there is a chance that Alexandra is already infected? No! I believe that she’s still alive. Please.

“How did you know all about this? And who are you exactly” I asked.

“My name is Lara, The only survivor from the special mission of the government”

“The only survivor? What happened to the others?”

Lara took a deep breath and look straight at me.

“Ten of us was deployed inside this forest because we were task to unfold the secret behind this forest. But in the end. They all went crazy. And I tried everything to survive. I told them before that it was the fog all along but they didn’t listen. My teammates thought that I’m insane. Until one night they killed each other.”

“If you knew it all along then why didn’t you just surrender and return home?”

“I wished I could but I didn’t have the chance to go back. This place is like a maze. I even tried to contact the government but the signal is jammed”

After her long explanation there was a sudden question that popped into my head.

“Why are you even telling me this?”

“Because you nee-“

Lara wasn’t able to finished because we heard a footstep. Lara grabs her rifle and pointed it where the sound is coming from. She slowly come to my direction and slice the rope for me to escape.

“Grab the spear and be prepared”

As soon as I grab the spear there was a sudden arrow that almost hit me.

“Fuck!” Said by a female familiar voice.

“Alexandra?” As soon as I said it. The person with a bowing arrow ran away.

“Who the hell?” Asked Lara.

“Alexandra! My missing wife!” I shouted. Lara’s face is full of confusion.

“I don’t know who she is but all I know is that she almost killed you!”

“Eh?”

“She’s the hunter”
