To the Brown-Eyed Boy
Brown eyes are
the color of the
speckled dirt
that my feet fall upon
for reassurance
and guidance.
The color of
a dark chocolate
that is seemingly made
for me alone;
that is bitter,
yet tasteful
and refreshing all at once.
Do not be
ashamed of
your eyes,
brown-eyed boy.

It is All Mine
My body is a temple.
But it is not yours to roam.
For it is a fortress for myself,
and I sit on its throne.
My body is a flower.
But the water is not yours to pour.
For the rain will come,
and the morning shall bring more.
My body is a seed.
But you won't crush me.
For the sky shall feed,
and I should sprout to a tree.
My body is mine.
And it is not yours to hold.
For I ought to help myself.
And if I wish, leave stories untold.
