We drove to that abandoned building and parked 2 blocks away, Mayros picked up the phone to call Chicki/Mia For some details about the spell book.

"hey Mia, how are you?" Mayros said smiling and put the phone on speakers

"hi Mayros" replied Mia. 

"i want to inquire about something"

"what?"

"you have read the spell book before , right?"

"Uh yeah! Monzana ma'am gives me lessons From it"

"so you should know about the silver-proof spell"

"yeah, i guess. How did.. "

"Can you tell us what is it?" i interrupted quickly before she asks Mayros about it, it will Be a disaster if she does, because he can't lie.

"ok, Just Stop screaming JJ, greetings, i didn't know that i was on speakers" Mia said angrily.

"sorry chicki, hi chicki" i smiled, and it showed in my voice.

"Stop calling me that! Any ways, it's a spell that makes werewolves, shape-shifters or any other monsters who gets hurt by silver silver-proof, it should Be done in specific circumstances, it need to be a friday night, At the Midnight, the witch should take the monster's tooth (werewolf, skin-walker... Etc) and toss it in Human blood then Mix it with liquid silver and salt and ... "


Well... she kept going with the ingredients and the latin spell words needed and because i know you don't care, and i don't care too, let's talk about chicki, or Mia as Monzana ma'am named her. 

she wanted her to have a two syllable name, like eva, kesha or whatever, she is a talented witch, that means she was born to it, no demon deal, no begging the grand covin For ability and no hogarth shit, she was born a witch, and that's very rare SO, Monzana ma'am took her Under her wing to teach her how to make use of her talent but, she actually wanted her to Be the second witch in her Dream coven.

(if don't know what the fudge coven is, let me enlighten you,as always... anyway  The coven is a group of witches practicing witchcraft, if you are a witch, you can't make a coven on your own, you need Two more fellow witches At least to make a coven).

"what the hell! Tomorrow is friday"

"do You want to do the spell?"

"no, the werewolf pack want to do it" Mayros said, i tried to shut him up but he was driving, so i took the phone and tried to end the call but my shivering, sweating hands couldn't, i gave the phone to Mayros to end it but Mia screamed :

"what, Mayros, you're joking right? The spell effect all The monsters in a 3 mile radios, every monsters nearby you will be silver-proof" 

"bye chicki, we won't do that, the book is right here, Mayros is Just kidding"

A grumpy deep female voice shouted:

"JJ, what happened to my spell book? I didn't give to you to lose it"

My heart skipped a beat and my breath  became heavier, Mayros's Brown skin turned Black and his eyes looked At me with terror, we were caught.


"It's right he..."

"i should've let Mayros carry it, but it's his fault, he refused, tell me now you stinky lier where is my book"

Driven by fear, i did a terrible thing.

I put Monzana ma'am on hold.

Mayros started whispering, even though she can't hear him :

"what the hell did you do?"

"she's too Old to get that we put her on hold" i said then smiled... It sounded poetic.

"you Fruit Head, Mia is right next to her, she will tell her" then Mayros let out a loud breath and continued:
"Why is it my fault? WHY is everything my fault, This was my first Solo without ma'am, and you made it a destater, and she put it on me? That's not fair! You should Be the one getting the scolding, i should get a pat on the back Just For going Solo with you" then he put his Head down, in a very sad but melodramatic scene. 


"are you going to cry or something, because, you know... I Can hold your Hand" i said stretching out my Hand and almost burst laughing, he throw my Hand away, straightened his back, took a breath then spoke up :
"shut the fudge up and put ma'am and mia back and let's face it Like real men"  i was about to do what he said then it hit me. 

We Don't have to face it, we could quarrel our Way out. 

SO i unhold the call and got ready to get on mia's nerve, that's was the only Way out of the biggest phone-scold of our lives:
" Why did you put us on hold, JJ? " she spoke in an angry tone

"how did you know it was me, Mia? " i replied in the same tone. 

Mayros was troubled At first then i gave him a wink and whispered "Cat fight" then he understood, he always gets me, Mia then spoke:
"because, firstly: you are the one holding the phone, evidently and second: Mayros could never do that"

"why did you put us on speakers, do really had the urge to tell on us, now?" 

" no, you wanted answers about the silver-proof spell SO i asked ma'am about it and she wanted to know Why ,SO i put it on speakers and she told me the answer in a low voice and i, said it to you " 

" SO, you didn't know the answer At first? "

" Duh! i only started reading the spellbook months ago, i couldn't make It through the first 10 pages of spells intro, how do You think i could know a spell of that importance, Fruit Head "

She screamed loudly, i was angrily and shocked, i screamed back :

" you should've Just told us that you don't know"

"i wanted to know Why did you asked about it" 

"It's not of your business, if you want to know you should've joined us on the hunt, you chicken" i said it and i could hear her anger steaming out her ears with whistles, that was it for her. 

We went on screaming and fighting through the phone, then she started speaking in Spanish, and here's a tip. 

You know that Mia is on her top of intensity when she speaks in Spanish. She's a latina after all. 

SO i started speaking in Spanish too and we argued and swore and ma'am joined us that's when i gave Mayros his ceu, he joined as well, a whole Family quarrel on the phone, it was a mayhem...

it was Like christmas. 

untill she started saying words in latin, Monzana ma'am tried to Stop her then finally she was able to. 

" she was going to curse you JJ" 

That was ma'am's last words before she hung up. 

I looked At Mayros and he looked At me, we paused For a Second and took a breath then we cracked up laughing. 

"oh JJ, i'm not going to say it Again, but you're a genius, a catastrophantastic genious" 

I took my time to let his words sattle in my soul, then i said :

"now let's go get our ma'am's spell book and kill some fudging werewolves on our Way to it"

we were watching the house the whole night.

At sunrise, 7 teenage werewolves  walked inside it, then another Old one went inside too, he was tall,white haired and dressed up Like a monk, he carried a book, it was ours Mayros poked me saying :
"hey! They came" 

"yeah i know, i Have eyes" i replied

"i thought you were asleep" 

"hunters don't sleep" i said in a deep batman voice, Mayros laughed, with the circles around his eyes and the slowness of his movement he looked Like a happy sloth. 

"Why did they gathered, tomorrow is friday" 

"but today is friday night" 

"how?" 

"JJ, Stop asking Stupid questions and let's go get it" 

"k" 

SO we went inside the house, and it was...

Quite. 

The book was laying on the floor and all the floor next to the corpses of the werewolves. 


My tongue froze by surprise and Mayros's too, he kept walking around the house searching For an explanation. We couldn't Find a Single clue of who did it. 


"May Be he's an allay" he said

"right, one of ma'am's" i replied, Mayros scratched his chin slowly and said:

"but Why didn't he wait For us to thank him?" 

"or, maybe he is an enemy of the pack" 

"Why didn't he take the book?" 

"May Be he Just wanted to kill them, or he didn't know that the book is an important one" then i lift the up and continued : "could we Just take the book somewhere safe then think about it outside" i looked At the corpses and their bloody feathers "here? " 

"yeah we should, but wait! JJ, Let me check the back yard" 

Then he ran through the backdoor At the end of the house and i took the book and rushed out.
