One day, Harshita asked Sharun to come to the park urgently. When he reached there, he saw Harshita's face was red and her eyes were filled with tears.

'What happened? Why are you crying?'       asked Sharun

'I..I want to tell you something. I can't keep it any longer.'   replied Harshita.

Harshita was trying her best to control her tears and not cry in front of Sharun but, she couldn't hold up any longer.

'Cathy committed suicide. She's dead.'     said Harshita

Sharun didn't knew that Catherine and Harshita were friends. He thought Harshita was talking about a different Cathy.

'Who's Cathy?'    asked Sharun, in a low voice.

'You know her. She told me everything about your trip and that's why I'm standing here, talking to you.'      replied Harshita, in a firm voice.

'No. Catherine won't commit suicide. She won't.'     Sharun refused to believe that Catherine was dead.

'No... I know it's hard to believe. But, it's.....'     said Harshita

Sharun interrupted, in a loud voice    'Stop this nonsense. I spent a whole week with her to make her realize how important it is to live and now you are telling she's dead ?'

'You know nothing about her. You know a small part of her life, which she let you know. It wasn't the cancer, it was Rajeesh.'     replied Harshita, angrily.

The world around them became silent. Everything around them stopped. Sharun was shocked.

'Who's Rajesh?'    asked  Sharun

'Catherine was in a relationship with him and he dumped her because, of cancer.'     replied Harshita

Harshita cont'd        'He was actually cheating on her and, he used cancer as a reason to leave her.'

Sharun couldn't utter a word. He was shattered.

'You want to meet her family?'    asked Harshita

Sharun remained silent. He was thinking about Catherine ans he didn't hear her question.

'You... You want to meet her family? I can take you there.'      said Harshita again.

'No. I don't want to meet them.'     replied Sharun

Sharun cont'd     'When did this happen?'

'Two days ago.'    replied Harshita

Harshita cont'd      'Her family will be happy to meet you.'

'No. I don't want to meet them. It's better leave them alone.'     replied Sharun

Sharun cont'd       'I want to meet Rajeesh. Can you take me to him?'

'Yes. But, why do you want to meet him?'      asked Harshita

'I don't know. But, I want to see him. I want to make him realize who Catherine was.'      replied Sharun

'Okay.'     replied Harshita

Same day, at evening, Harshita and Sharun went to Rajeesh's college.  He was in the college ground, playing football.

Sharun went to Rajeesh.

'Are you Rajeesh?'    asked Sharun, looking at a tall boy, with curly long hair.

'Yes. Who are you?'     replied Rajeesh

'My name is Sharun. I'm a friend of Catherine.'    said Sharun

After hearing Catherine's name, Rajesh started to ignore Sharun. He said, he was busy and he walked away from Sharun.

'You know Harshita. She's standing there.'      said Sharun in a loud voice, by pointing at the college gate.

Rajeesh stopped walking. He turned around and walked towarda Sharun.

'What do you want?'    asked Rajeesh

'She died because of you.'      replied Sharun

'Can we go and talk somewhere else?'      asked Rajeesh

Rajeesh and Sharun moved to the left corner of the ground.

'Listen man, I was in a relationship with her but, it was over.'    said Rajeesh

'Because, you found another girl?'   asked Sharun

'How do you know Catherine?'    asked Rajeesh

'She was with me last week. I stopped her from jumping off a cliff and did my best, to change her mind. But, because if you, now she's dead.'     said Sharun angrily.

'See, how can I love a girl like her. A girl who goes out with random guys.'     said Rajeesh

'What the heck. How can you say that. Do you have sister? Does have male friends? If she goes out with them, will you call her a slut?'      replied Sharun, angrily.

Sharun cont'd       'And you, you loved two girls at the same time and you are calling her a slut. Who end her life because, of you?'

Rajeesh got angry.

'Stop it and get the hell out of here.' Rajeesh yelled at Sharun.

'I'm going. But, I hope time makes you realize how great Catherine was and you'll regret loosing her.'     said Sharun

Sharun walked out of the college. Tears rolled down his face. He was sad about loosing a girl he met few weeks ago. A girl who was and will be, a total stranger. Someone who thought him the importance of life, someone who helped him get the love of Harshita. He felt the pain of loosing a loved one, someone who can't be ever replaced.
