LET'S KNOW OURSELVES (PART II)
Outside the coffee shop.
'Can we go on top again?' asked Sharun.
'Okay.' replied Cathy.
They went back on top of the hill. They sat on a beach, close to the cliff.
'Did you really thought on ending your life for such small reason?' asked Cathy.
'As I told you, the issues....' said Sharun.
'Tell me about it.' Cathy interrupted.
'I was in love with someone and it didn't go well.' said Sharun.
'Did she dumped you?' asked Cathy.
'Yeah, it's a kind of dumping. I mean, she didn't know I loved her.' replied Sharun.
Cathy laughed.
'Tell me, I want to know about it.' said Cathy.
'So, there was this girl. Tall and beautiful, with a beautiful heart. She was a clone of me and that's what I liked about her. We used to text a lot and one day, it all stopped. She stopped texting me and I never dare to ask her the reason.' said Sharun.
Sharun cont'd 'That sudden disappearance of her, broke my heart and all that pressure building around me brought me here.'
'When did this happen?' asked Cathy
'A week ago.' replied Sharun
'Instead of coming here, you should have talked to her.' said Cathy
'Are you really mature?' asked Cathy
'So, what's next? What's your plan?' asked Sharun
'I'll be honest with you. Knowingly or unknowingly, you're doing all this to change my mind. But, I have made this decision and it won't change.' said Cathy
'You are randomly changing the tone of this story. Why can't you just stop thinking about death? ' said Sharun
Sharun walked towards the edge of the cliff.
'Few hours ago, when I was here, all I saw was pain. But, look at this, how beautiful, the sun touching those trees , the blue-red color of the sky.' said Sharun.
Cathy stood close to Sharun.
'Yeah.' said Cathy.
Sharun took out the camera from his bag and started to take pictures of the beautiful view.
'You like photography?' asked Cathy.
'Yeah. It's where I wanted to make my career.' replied Sharun
'You are never late to start it again .' said Cathy.
'Yeah. That's what I'm trying to make you understand. You are never too late to start again.' said Sharun
Sharun cont'd 'You changed me. You made me realize what a foll I'm.'
'That's good.' said Cathy.
Sharun remained silent. He was thinking about a way to change Cathy's mind.
After thinking for a while, he came up with an idea.
'You want to end your life, I want stop you. But, can we have a little time together? ' asked Sharun
'What do you mean?' asked Cathy.
'Come with me for a week and then, do whatever you want.' said Sharun
'I don't think that's a good idea.' said Cathy.
'What? You don't trust me? Should I give my identity card to you?' asked Sharun
Cathy laughed.
Sharun gave his aadhar card to Cathy.
'Take it, keep it with you.' said Sharun
Cathy laughed and gave the card back to Sharun.
'Give me a chance to change your mind, please.' said Sharun.
'What's your plan?' asked Cathy
'To teach you, what you taught me.' replied Sharun.
'Okay.' said Cathy, after thinking for a while.
'Let's meet here tomorrow at nine, okay?' said Sharun.
'Okay, deal.' said Cathy.
They talked for few more minutes and then, left for their homes.
